How long does it usually take for a product that says not available for purchase to become available?

It just depends on the item and I guess how popular it is. When they have an estimated date for it to come back in, they will post it on the page. Like this toys page here

It depends on the product and the manufacturer. You can always submit a support ticket if you have a question on a specific product.
