My boyfriend thinks that the oils will be too hot since it is essentially melted wax. How can I convince him otherwise or is that a valid point?

It depends on how hot the wax is in the first place when melted and how much he likes it. Besides, wax on your skin, the burn lasts a second and then goes away. You don't even notice. I'm not sure about the KS massage candle, but that's how it is to me with normal candles. It shouldn't be too bad. He should give it a try and if he doesn't enjoy it, if it's too much, then he doesn't have to do it again.
