I'm curious about the process that manufacturers go through when testing the prototypes for a new toy. I know it varies, but some companies (Vixen, Tantus) seem to do a very good job getting the kinks out, while other companies come out with products having problems that I would have expected would be caught in testing (for instance see the reviews of the Dr. Joel Prostate Locator, could have been a good toy but...)
Manufacturers - how do you test toy prototypes?

This is a great question, and something I have wondered about often, actually. Thanks for posting it!

Some companies put a higher emphasis on customer satisfaction. They understand that satisfied customers become repeat customers. Tantus and Vixen are two great examples.
Other companies choose to focus more on short term goals, with seemingly little regard to their end users.
