I'd love to get fancy eventually, but I just have a plastic box.
Make or Buy Containers?
01/22/2011
I just buy Sterilite boxes and makeup bags. I leave most of my stuff in its original package to keep it clean. Toys and stuff go in the storage tubs, lubes, lotions, oils, etc, go in the makeup bags. I also have a little purse sized makeup bag that I keep some condoms in.

I usually use the materials they come in to prevent silicone items touching and for general cleanliness and tidiness

I have sterilite containers for toys. All my lubes & massage oils are in a basket on my bedside table.
01/30/2011
Usually keep the containers they came in for storage. The few that didn't have reusable containers I've put into pouches but I didn't make them. Just don't have time.

get a nice wooden box, possibly with a lock,

I have sewed a couple padded pouches for glass toys that didn't come with a suitable storage bag. I have a master plan to make little satin bags to keep my lint-loving silicone toys in as well.
I chose 'both' though, because while I *do* make storage containers, I also use pouches that come with toys and For Your Nymphomation storage boxes/chests etc. that I;ve purchased.
Great post too! A very cool thought...

My partner is really creative and crafty but we really haven't done anything special yet to store our toys. Maybe we are just boring or have too many other things to do.

I have one in a drill bit case of a very large SDS bit. It locks in place, has an adjustable height, is virtually sealed, but the drill bits are damn expensive. It would be great to get the cases separately. They are durable.

I said both.
I have used old jewelry boxes for bullets, or my top dresser drawer, or even shoeboxes converted over.
I also have nice pouches that come with toys, etc.

I have a bag that came with a purse that I use for most of my toys and the rest are just in drawers.
03/02/2011
I used the packaging that came with one of my more realistic skin like dildos, but everything else either has a hand made or recycled pouch or nothing at all.

I keep mine in new ziplock bags after i wash and disinfect them. inside of a childrens toy chest haha, we took wood filler and filled in the bear on the front, and stainedd the wooden box brown.

I've been putting my unbreakable toys in the large Crown Royal bags I have. They're pretty and purple. I guess if I could pad them somehow I'd use them for everything!

Ziplocks, those plastic 'shoe' bins, a devine playchest, original packing, toy pouches, I have it all going on and still don't know where anything is.
I really need to work on that. If I didn't have to hide everything (kids) I would do what Carrie Ann does. Over the door shoe holder, um yes please.

I will be getting a Devine PlayChest Soon (yay!) if I was a crafty person or knew how to make stuff to store my toys or anything else I would.

Only thing that I'd buy in terms of containers is that wallet for condoms that MuffysPinguLove suggested a while ago. Other than that, I make my pouches.

I've been thinking of making padded pouches for my small collection of glass toys. As it stands, I store our toys in one of these (though we're gonna need a bigger storage container with this next shipment ha ha).

I'm new to keeping toys around, for now they just stay in their boxes. I recently learned how to make drawstring bags, though, so I'm quite excited about making some bags (would save a lot of room and be a little more discreet)

I've just moved and I now have a built in wardrobe that spans the entire height and length of my bedroom wall, that's where I'm keeping my toys atm, They take up almost 3 full shelves lol. I want to get some boxes and bags for my "naked" toys but most of mine are in the boxes they arrived in.
05/10/2011
Buy.. since I don't have a creative bone in my body. lol
05/10/2011
I've made and bought storage containers for my toys.

Sometimes I use what they come in (especially with jelly or cyberskin), others I find. Like those Crown Royal pouches, those are AWESOME to store toys in. And you always get little pouches with gifts, or whatever, and I use those too. Whatever is free, convenient, and safe for the toys.
05/30/2011
I am not handy and see no point in buying specifically designed "toy storage," so I just put my toys in baskets or dressers.

If you need extra-thick pouches in many sizes or made to specifications, Etsy is a good place to look for crafters.
