essentially its supposed to do almost the same thing as getting your clit pierced. but without the pain, possible infection and discomfort until you get used to have a permanent barbell or hoop down there. like the first comment says... they are a pain in the ass to get them on right and stay in place. some of them might hurt after a while. they make several different types. ones like pinchers(which i dont prefer myself) and ones like the cleopatra. hope that helps
