I am loving the price point of these. Plus they are paraben free. The packaging is gorge. Anyone know anything about them or the scents?
Anyone familiar with the new Dona line?

So far I am incredibly impressed by this line. I have the Camu Camu scent in the bath salts and the Mangosteen in body polish. Camu Camu I cannot describe or compare to anything really, it's a unique smell that I brain simply cannot compare to much. However to try my best, it smells like the sand on a salt water ocean mixed with the smell of a rain forest.
The mangosteen is just freaken phenomenal. It is the best citrus scented product I have ever used. It's strong, but not overpowering, acidic, tangy, sweet mangos/citrus that remind me of vitamin c chewables but only better.

I love the way the mangosteen smells. I googled camu camu and its a cherry like fruit that's has a scent similar to guava fruit. I think I will wait on a review of that scent before trying it. I really want to try these scents/products.

The Camu Camu in Bath Salts is very hard to really describe what it is. I'm not real familiar with guava scents, however from memory I would say there is a hint of the guava. The scent is strong in the container, ran me a hot bath and while the scent reduced in strength, it become actually more soothing, relaxing and pleasant. Still, unable to describe the scent lol. I even asked my fiancee who is seriously the pickiest person in the world about scents/tastes and she had no clue how to compare it to something. She said it just smelled really pretty and that she enjoyed it. That is very rare for her to enjoy a new smell like that, normally she is snotty about these types of products.

It is a rather hard scent to put your finger on. I only know it as guava cuz I have a guava scentsy candle. I'm ordering a body wash probably the mangosteen scent. Think it will go well with my pineapple tangerine venus body butter.

Anyone else have anything from Dona?
02/08/2012
I have the body polish and the lingerie wash. Love the wash, hate the polish. The body polish burns my skin and turns me red. It does smell really good (I have the mangosteen). The lingerie wash is handy to have around. It seems to clean well and smells yummy. I have that in pomegranate.

So any questions you can either ask me, or I can tell you how to contact the sales rep for the really detailed information. I also have a couple of product info documents I can send to you if you like.
I have the Body Polish in Mangosteen (LOVE IT and my review is nearing publishig)
I have Bath Salt in Camu Camu. I love this scent even more now.
Then I am getting these 7 products free from the manufacturer.
-body butter (mangosteen)
-body wash (acai)
-bath milk (goji berry)
-bath foam (blue lotus)
-arousing herbal bath essence (pomegranate)
-linen spray (camu camu)
-body mist lotion (camu camu)

First of all - the sales reps there are really happy to help out and answer questions. I know cause Mike pointed me in their direction. I have five items due in tomorrow - all in the mangosteen scent.
You can contact them on facebook at: link
Mike goes into this a lot more in his review - but basically their products are based on a 5 step ritual:
Relax—to slow down and set the sensual tone
Cleanse—to purify your body using luxurious lathers, exfoliators, and gels
Nourish—to make your skin touchable and kissably soft
Illuminate—to enhance your natural beauty and space
Engage – to share the fun with sensual, play products
I am currently working on some research for my reviews. I have found out that mangosteen is used in two "fragrances" that folks may recognize. For men, the scent Paradox for Men by Jacomo uses mangosteen as one of the three scents that are part of the middle notes of the scent. This fragrance came out in 1999.
For women, With Love by Hilary Duff which came out in 2006, uses mangosteen as the middle scent in the fragrance along with Cocobolo wood.
I am not sure how commonly found these fragrances are - but they are the only two that I can find that use mangosteen as part of the scent. (I'm also researching the other scents in the Dona line).

I just wanted to remind folks of something (I'm a big fan of layering the same scent from one company) - if you use one scent from one company with another scented product from another company - I would do it at first on a small portion of your skin to make sure there is no interaction between the two different lines.
There probably wouldn't be - but I'd hate to see someone do it right before a big occasion and then wind up breaking out or something.

Unless they run out of a product and do a substitution, I'm getting:
Body butter (acai)
Body butter (pomegranate)
Body butter (camu camu)
Bath milk (goji berry)
Chromotherapy (blue lotus)
Massage oil (acai)
Kissable body drizzle (pomegranate martini)
Herbal bath essence (goji berry)
So OF COURSE, tonight I had to order some of those scents so I could layer them for an "effective" test.
If you guys buy that reason - maybe my husband will too!

I have done my review on the bath milk, am working on a review for the body polish( both mangosteen and goji berry). I also have the body mist lotion in mangosteen and the body wash in mangosteen. I LOVE this line. I sent them an email so hopefully I will get some more info from them so I can do my other reviews. I will definitely be ordering more of this line. I hope there is someplace that the entire line can be purchased. I would LOVE to try some of the other products.

I had an interesting email from Ashley. I was asking her about Camu Camu because I can't seem to place the scent. I know in other products (Scentsy, etc) it is more of a fruity scent because Camu Camu is actually a superfruit from what I've found out.
Her response to me was VERY interesting. She stated:
As far as the company describing the scents, not to sound cliché, but we honestly think they’re kind of indescribable. Each one was specially created by our chemist and so each is very unique to DONA and unto itself. We have not come out with scent descriptions simply because we don’t want to limit the uniqueness and intrigue of each one by putting them into specific words ourselves. We’d rather let each person decide for themselves.
And it’s important to recognize the distinction between a scent and an aphrodisiac. The aphrodisiacs we’ve chosen are actually the extract we’ve infused into each product and we’ve also chosen six different scents and flavors to appeal to a wide consumer base. Hope this helps!
So basically - from what I'm understanding of her note - Camu Camu is the aphrodisiac that is put into the product but the scent can be different...which is why I'm smelling a fairly strong vanilla/french vanilla mixed in with coconut.

Hey TexasMama I was just thinking something along the lines of this, with my package today my Camu Camu linen mist spray has Mangosteen in it according to the ingredient list. Also has Pomegranate, Goji, Acai, Coffee, Green Tea, but Camu Camu is NOT on the list. weird. I might email her about that.
