I have been looking into different materials for toys. When I came across the wood, I'm a little nervous about trying it. What is your opinion on wood toys?

I haven't tried a wood toy, and I probably won't. That's only because I tend to prefer squishier materials -- and obviously wood is not going to be squishy.
My understanding is that wood dildos are perfectly safe, though.

Have several on my wishlist, but havent tried one yet!

We haven't tried them because I can't think of an unfulfilled 'need' that wood addresses. We like the variety of smooth and textured options available in metal and glass - and we like the soft textures of Vixskin and O2 silicone. At the prices asked for, I haven't even put any on my wish list.

Wood is firm, but also lightweight. So if your wrist gets tired using stainless steel or glass, wood is a good option.
Splinters are not a factor, for the record, the Nob Essence toys are sealed to be waterproof, and are even less likely to give you a splinter than fine furniture. It's not a "random stick from someone's yard" as a certain website says when mocking toys of this kind.

Well made, sealed wood dildos are totally safe, like everyone else has said. I'd love to try one but just haven't been able to justify the price yet. They're so pretty though and how lightweight they're supposed to be would be awesome for me since I have carpal tunnel but I love the smooth hardness of glass.

I've grown a huge interest with glass.

They look really interesting, but they tend to be on the expensive side. I'll probably get one eventually to try, but it'll have to wait until some of the more cost-effective toys are in my toybag first

if you like wood toys, I see no problem why they should worry you. they will act just like glass or metal.

Thanks everyone for all the opinions
