I like silicone the best

Metal, glass, and silicone. Properly treated wood would also be acceptable. I'll only use non-porous materials for safety reasons, but I have favorites that are made of all three of those materials.

I prefer my insertable toys to be silicone when possible - I especially love dual-density dildos. It's among the safest and easiest-to-clean materials, and usually has some give and flexibility, which I like.

For external toys I also like plastic, since it's lightweight and transfers vibrations very well.

Never anything less than silicone, plastic, or glass. I love plastic and glass because they are slippery and lube compatible, but silicone can be wonderfully squishy.

Anything that's extremely porous, leeches chemicals, breaks down quickly, or has a strong smell - jelly, for example, has all of those faults. Usually if I see a toy I like in an undesirable material, it's not too hard to find something similar in a better one.

Can't think of any specific materials. If there ever comes a toy material that has the same properties as silicone, but guaranteed to work fine with silicone lubes (without needing to patch test or anything like that) and perhaps attracting less lint, it'd be perfect.
