Okay so here is the deal. I have been storing all of my things in the original packaging and my bedroom and closet is beginning to look like a sex toy store. I have children so I cant have this. I am getting one by one different toy boxes from Eden...The Devine will be on its way this week. Here is my question...I need to take these out of the original packages and use a more effective system for storage. I have also ordered a couple of toy bags from here. What do you store things in? Baggies? I know that you shouldn't store jelly toys together but aside from that all opinions are appriciated. Thanks.

For silicone and porous materials, we store in plastic baggies. Glass/ceramic get their own padded bags. They all live in either the dresser drawer or on top in a box.

We have an assortment of Sugar Saks (which I wish Eden carried. They have an antibacterial embedded in the fabric which helps keep your toys safe) Eden toy bags (which are really nice but are quite a bit smaller than Sugar Saks, a few make up bags (my Wahl is just too big to put in most toy bags. I just bought a locking box, and although it was smaller than I thought, it is nice as it has a lock. I use this for toys I don't need every day, and it keeps them safe.
When I keep more than one toy in a bag, I wrap in in a man handkerchief so that the material doesn't touch other materials.

I use either Ziploc bags or the storage bags on EF. I've also used a wine gift bag as it's a little padded and larger than the EF storage bags for some larger items. Then I keep them in various Playchests sorted by use.

The corset box is on its way to me for review, but I have a feeling I'm gonna need at least one of every storage box out there as my collection builds. I want that lockable travel case.
I have to get some of those lovely eden storage pouches as well.
My ghetto system of storage just ain't cutting it.

The corset box is pretty, but to me dressing up the box almost defeats the purpose. It's not uncommon for me to have family members hang out with me in my bedroom and while they'll ignore an old shoe box, they'd be all over something pink with lacing and a lock... it'd be the subject of discussion for the remainder of the month.

Right now mine are split between a train-style lockable makeup case and the bottom drawer of my bedside table. As soon as I have my own apartment I think I want to get a giant lockable file drawer thing, though. I just don't have room for much dedicated toy storage at the moment

I have a drawer and a bin. The bin I got at Ikea and it is just the right size (with a lid) to slide under my bed.
All my glass lives in its own pouch (either included or if not I crochet one). most of my silicone is Evolved and I hate to part with the packaging for those so they are in the bin. I bought a bunch of little satin bags for smaller items at Pier 1. I even crocheted pouches for my Yooo and Mimi that are double sided to fit the toy and the charger.

You can find pretty boxes in Home Goods, Marshalls, or craft stores like Michaels.

If you have children and are worried they may hide & seek in your closet then explore the contents, this may not be the best route for you, but here is what has worked for me (after MANY other methods.) I live in a dorm so keeping things very organized and very discreet has been a challenge but so far the only method that has constantly worked has been simple plastic drawers. Favorites go on top, then each level has a category. To keep everything discrete I have boxes for bullets, vibrators, dildos, massagers etc within each drawer and desk organizers to separate batteries and lubes. All toys are stored in small drawstring bags which I made out of antimicrobial scrubs. Some are decorated with fabrics I purchased elsewhere and glass bags have thin padding sandwiched between the antimicrobial fabric and decorative exterior. This is the only method that has consistently stayed organized and tidy, hope you find something that works for you!

I have a Divine lace toy box for my plastic and pure silicone toys (these two materials are fine together). I keep any tiny toys of other materials (PVC, TPR, etc.) in tiny plastic bags in the toy box as well, and I haven't had any issues. Any silicone compounds go into separate storage bags (usually one of the cheaper pouches here on EF). I'd love to get the huge toy chest from Divine, but it's a bit pricy and at the moment my collection really isn't big enough to justify it.
I've also got a "box of shame" for toys that are either broken or hated. I just toss anything in there, since I don't care much what happens to them. At present, there's two plastics and a jelly toy, and none of them have deteriorated from being together.

Eden does carry the same type of box in a more discreet pattern if the corset pattern seems too obvious. Though I do think it could easily pass as a makeup or jewelry box. It does hold A LOT for such a small, easily movable box.

I have a large display cabinet now, but before I got it I used a large cosmetic lockable case. The pouches were too expensive to buy for all my toys and most of my dildo are too big for them anyway. So I got different sized zip lock bags that did the job well. They are cheap and I was able to see exactly what was in each one without openning it.

This is such a challenge for us since we have nosy guests and are starting a family. Right now we are using under bed drawers mainly, but I'm thinking a locking nightstand would be good.
