Storage

All of my toys are either plastic (and in one case, plastic and TPR) or silicone. Are these materials safe to store together or should I separate them?

I do not know, but I always separate each toy from one another.

I'd keep them separate just in case. If anything it keeps anal toys separated from vaginal toys, since plastic and TPR can hold onto anal bacteria.

You should separate them. Certain materials have chemical reactions and will deteriorate. Also, the porous materials hold bacteria and should most definitely be separated for health/safety reasons.

Yes, separate them. I use the boxes they came in if TPR. Hard plastics go into unpadded pouches. Silicone, so far has gone into plastic ziplock bags.

I think it's always best to keep toys apart. I have a little OCD going on when it comes to mine - none can touch any others!

It occurs to me now that most toys come in plastic packaging, and that one of the toys on my wish list (the Insignia Alia) is made of both materials, so the silicone won't be harmed (I was more worried about the silicone toys than the plastic ones). And since both are non-porous, they won't harbor infection so long as I keep them clean.

However, I may still end up deciding to separate them, or at least certain favorites. Thanks so much for all your opinions and advice, everybody!
