No/Yes.

Quartz is a crystalline structure and most varieties are considered a non-precious mineral.

Outside of naturally formed, shaped, polished quartz crystal (which is expensive).

Engineered Quartz can made by combining 93% crushed/powdered natural quartz stone with 7% resin binder and some colourant. This creates an extremely hard stone-like material that is stronger than granite or marble and can be moulded into any shape or design needed.
