I know that material can be a big plus or minus on sexual toys depending on what your intended use will be. However-is it a factor for every item you purchase or just certain ones? What makes you change your mind on purchasing items with lower safety levels?

I bought a toy made out of sili-gel once, before I knew any better. It claimed right on the package that it was phthalate free. Never again! It stunk up my whole room and after I found out how unsafe it was for the body, I threw it away. I've learned there can be false advertising on packaging, just because it says it's phthalate free doesn't mean that it is.
I have noticed that I prefer silicone over glass. One of my favorite dildos is silicone, I love its shape. The funny thing is I have a toy in glass with that same shape that does nothing for me. The two feel nothing alike! It's amazing what a difference materials make!

I only purchase silicone, glass, or steel toys. It's not worth it to buy other materials to me.

It is amazing how a material can make all the difference in the world for stimulation!! I bought my hubby a silicone sleeve but he shuddered after trying it and said he would rather take his chances with the 'soft stuff' , (TPR, cyberskin, etc.).
I primarily use silicone toys--but do use other materials as well. I like teasing and some of the visuals my hubby gets wen I play with other materials. I have to say that for me it depends on the purpose.

The material definitely is the BIGGEST factor in my purchasing of toys. I stay away from all jelly, sili-gel, or like materials. The smell is terrible not to mention the things it could hold or do to you.

I won't buy TPR or Jelly and I don't buy from companies I don't know. There is no regulation of toys in the US so someone can say anything about their product, true or not. Silicone is my product of choice.

I very rarely buy items with safety levels below 7. I don't share my toys, and I always wash them with hot water and soap or toy cleaner, but I still like higher safety levels.

Material is a huge part in if I am going to buy something or not. I try to only buy silicone, glass or metal. My main concern is safety and the ability to sterilize them as some are duel use toys for me (used for both vaginal and anal. I do have a few that are not made of those materials, in the case of those toys they are strictly for vaginal use only and in the case of my single Sil-A-Gel toy I use a condom with it in case of reactions to the material.

Glass, silicone, or the really good and safe plastic. 9's and 10's for me.

Yes,material is a factor in my decision whether to buy or not to buy a toy. I usually only buy toys made of silicone,TPE/TPR,glass ,metal or hard plastic. I have never bought a jelly toy and I don't plan to.

Material is the MAIN factor in my decision. That's what I start with when I'm looking for a new toy. Silicone all the way in my opinion.
