Platinum?

Last week I was able to snag a JimmyJane Little Platinum vibrator for $99link (it is normally 395; and at that price it cost less than their Little Chroma. So I’m wondering about how platinum stacks up as a sex toy material (and as far as I can tell JimmyJane is the only manufacturer that has platinum coated toys. From a safety stand point its metal so it would be non-porous. The description on JimmyJane’s site say it medical grade and body safe; so I’m not to worried about anything toxic in regards to the metal itself. However, one thing I’m think of ,that I’ll be able test soon enough, is the toys temperature properties, I’ve used aluminum toys for temp play before and I’m wondering how platinum would compare to it for this application.

So any one have any thoughts or experience regarding Platinum as a sex toy material?

The Little Platinum is no longer on sale for $99 when you click the link it lists it at $395 again It's too bad too, because it looks like an awesome vibrator!

I got my Little Platinum this Wednesday the manual has a few notes on the material but before I get to that.

JimmyJane is have another $99 dollar sale on their Little Somethings!! (Little Gold, Little Platinum and Little Steel). Now Friday Dec 11 until tomorrow Dec 12 at midnight PST. I was seriously considering getting a Little Gold but decided having a platinum coated voted is enough opulence for one holiday season (Although if they repeat this sale again next year I know what I'm getting myself.

Now back to the material, they don’t recommend using it if you’re allergic to nickel, like nickel in jewelry it can cause a reaction in some people. Secondly it again it says the vibe is coated in rhodium “a type of platinum for added strength, durability and shine.” Lastly, it says you can put it the dishwasher (toy is water proof) after removing the batteries and motor (JimmyJane has a patented removable vibe motor). All in all it seems easy to care for, later I think I’ll Google platinum jewelry for any care tips which may be transferable.

So anyone knowledgeable in precious metals/ jewelry have any input.

"Platinum like"?

Sounds like a code word for "looks like it, but isn't really".

Plus, given the price of the precious metals nowadays, I really doubt there is enough real metal there to really be worth it.
At least the design is cool!

Wow, what an amazing sale! I was SO tempted to buy one, but shipping to Australia was listed at 88 USD...so that's practically as much as the vibe itself!! I hope you find out a bit more about the platinum, it sounds so decadent and lovely, so I'd be interested to hear how it stacks up against other less expensive materials.
