I am so conflicted with my toys lately. I have been venturing into the silicone toys more and more. While I love them, I do not like them as vibrators. They are great as dildos but I miss the squsih and softness of my jelly vibes and using a condom is not a big deal for me to get that feel. Am I weird or is it normal or have different favorite materials based on what kind of toy you are using or craving that day.
Do you have a favorite material?

I really like the glass toy I have. Only have one due to price. I like the jelly ones second best. I'm fairly new to the different materials- I base my decision on how well the toy works and how cute it is. I'm a visual person- what can I say.

I really love silicone because it's so easy to clean, I'm sure I'd love glass as well...but there is the price factor there. I do have a fair number of jelly toys and like some much more than others, depending on the texture of the jelly, but silicone is definitely my favorite, a great all around material.

I like both silicone and VixSkin. VixSkin does feel somewhat like jelly. Silicone, depends on the manufacturer, the Fun Factory line is great, so are Happy Valley and Tantus. Tantus is not soft but takes care of business.
My first toys were jelly, still have a few...sentimental, I guess.

I don't have many jelly toys but I'll admit to usually preferring rubber or TPR. It's just what feels good to me, no matter how unsafe it may be.
Totally normal. If we all craved the same thing all the time there'd only be a few things instead of millions!

I really like silicone, but I am enjoying the new toy I got made of Pure Skin. Glass, acrylic, and plastic are all good as well. As long as it doesn't have an awful odor!

Try Elastomer- toys like the Silky and Sweet Spot feel like cyberskin but without the phthalatees and porosity. They're very soft and plushy and you don't have to use a condom with them.
I personally love aluminum and stainless steels- harder materials are easier for me to have g-spot orgasms with.

I experience the same. Stainless steel, aluminum and glass are just so much easier to pinpoint and entice my g spot!

I agree with Sleeping Dreamer. If you like the soft feel of jelly, try elastomer or TPE or TPR or TPR silicone as these are phthalate free and less porous than jelly or the skin-like materials. VixSkin and O2 silicones from Vixen Creations and Tantus respectively are also soft but they do come at a price premium. Fun Factory and Lelo have a different texture on their matte silicone toys, but they are still harder than jelly. For most of my all-around toys, I really like silicone because I know it will last. For stiffer toys, acrylic is an inexpensive option but glass and metal are great.

A lot of companies (Topco, for instance) are also making their old favorites out of elastomer now. My last rabbit was elastomer and felt pretty much like a jelly toy without all the issues of jelly.

Wood (NobEssence), Silicone (Fun Factory), Glass, Metal (Njoy).

I have to O2 Niagara, but I still like my vibes super squishy. I do not know why.

Glass, Silicone, Wood and Steel.

I actually do, too, Cinnamon. I've never much liked hard, bullet type vibes. And there are very few glass, wood or steel vibes so most folks who favor those materials are talking dildos. (Not getting what you're saying, maybe)

I've got my first silicone vibe coming in the mail so I'll be sure to let you know how this particular one feels - squishy or non.

For clit stimulation, I like a hard vibrator that translates high buzzy vibrations well, so usually acrylic. I see these similar an acoustic guitar, giving a good rattling resound in their vibration.
For g-spot vibrators, usually TPR silicone, TPE or elastomer. Not too squishy but not too hard. These seem to give more of the deep vibrations I prefer for penetrative use. These are more the heavy-body bass guitar, all low end reverberations.
Hope that's helpful.

Haha, this is pretty much my take on glass! Glass definitely tops my list. I also love pure silicone, aluminum, elastomer/TPE, and vixskin. I actually don't own any vixskin stuff because it tends to be expensive, but a girlfriend of mine had a vixskin dildo and I LOOOOOVED it!

I still own a couple of jelly toys, although not many; I just keep the ones that I really love, like the Butterfly Kiss, and I replace them about once a year to keep myself healthy.

Oh, and hard plastic! If the toy is really good, like the TantraBeam or the Turbo Glider, then hard plastic is a total winner.

Silicone or glass for dildos, hard plastic for clitoral vibes.
