Slipinside 01 - oiled?

Contributor: spicywife spicywife
Hi,

I just received an order that I placed with Eden. The SlipInside #1 was one of the products that I ordered. I went to take it out of the plastic box and found that it is wrapped in plastic too. I didn't even take it out of the plastic because I could feel something that is oily. I stopped because I wasn't sure what it would be oiled with and I have allergies. Any ideas? I'm guessing it's probably something synthetic?

I was hoping to wash it before my husband comes home so that I can use it on him tonight but... I'm not sure if I should because of the "oil"

Sometimes these things are 'oiled' with a manufacturer's lubricant of sorts to keep them from drying or sticking to themselves. It should wash off of your hands and the sleeve with some warm water and antibacterial soap.

Thanks Victoria. I'll either wash it well before he gets home or have him do it. I wasn't expecting it to be oiled because it wasn't mentioned in any of the reviews that I read either.

Just to be sure, I will ask our awesome Product Manager, Rufina, when I am in the office tomorrow and will post on here about it.

Great! I appreciate it. Whatever it was, it washed right off with some warm water and soap - like you had recommended. I guess it took me off guard, I wasn't expecting it to be "oiled" or "lubed." That's one thing I'll put in my review to let people know.

I don't have info on the exact kind of manufacturer's lubricants used by Vibratex, but I did find several articles online about pretty standard non-toxic industrial lubes that are used for products, to keep them from drying out or growing mold etc during shipping and shelf time. Most are actually FDA approved food-grade lubricants.

I hope that is helpful.

That is helpful, thank you for researching it for me!
