We love and still use silicone - but we wanting something a little more 'natural' so I started looking around. My wife does not like water-based so I started looking at vegetable & nut based products. We now use 'Yes' link oil-based made with cocoa and shea butters - absolutely love it - lubricant and moisturizer in one.

I wish I could choose multiple choices. And anal is spelled "Anal". We use water-based the most for his Fleshlights but use silicone-based for anal sex.

Only use waterbased as 90% of my toys are cyberskin.

silicone when ever i'm not using a silicone toy.

I love water based because I can always use it with my toys

I prefer water-based, as chemical free as possible.

I generally reach for Probe Thick and Rich - it's easy to clean up (the big bugaboo of silicone lubes), compatible with all uses, and the big #1 reason: I don't have any bad reactions to it.
Guess that means water.
I will also reach for an oil-lube in certain situations, but the Probe gets the nod more often.

I tend to use water based.

I use my homemade water based lube.

I use JO H2O. It's a water based lubricant that has similar feel and viscosity to silicone, yet contains NO OIL, WAX or SILICONE. JO H2O is long lasting and silky smooth.

I thought it was for the LULZ. Realizing it wasn't made me lulz even more.

And whether the infamous other option?
Down with lube!
What a preposterous idea!
Rabble rabble rabble!

Hmm, I'll have to try this. I heart Liquid Silk but I'm always interested in trying new lubes.

I'm a nut for Jo's H2O water-based lube. It feels like silicone with all the benefits of being water-based (won't hurt toys, easy clean-up, etc.), so if you prefer silicone you should give it a try!

From the first time my girl pulled out the silicone lube, I never wanted to go back. I only buy condoms with silicone lube now too.

The only problems with silicone are (1) hard to clean up and (2) generally not very thick.

Why do you all use them is it the texture that you like. personally i don't like something that leaves me feeling unclean..

My wife and I have a silicone lube we use on occasion, but only if we know for sure we won't be pulling out any toys. The only reason we have it is because it came to us in a shipping error. Otherwise, we always use water based lube.

We've been trying out different kinds but the latest if my favourite so far: Sliquid Silk. It's a water-silicone mixture, and it felt super smooth without leaving me feeling wet at the end of it all. Unfortunately I'm going to have to keep searching for some pure water-based lube to use with my silicone toys.

Silicone lube does last pretty much forever. The feel takes some getting used to, but those who use often swear by it.
I find that it does funny things with silicone toys. Not permanent (I've been careful what lubes and toys I mix), but funny - it's not as slick, and sometimes the toy develops a temporary welt or swelling. That's why I usually use water-based, with oil a second.

I mainly use water based lubes because of the versatility.

I'm scared to use silicone lubes because I have too many silicone toys!

Water based, I tried silicone, not good. Maybe it was just a bad brand.

Is there a place to buy Yes lube in the states? I wish EF would carry this!

Unless going solo, we tend to use a tingle/arousal gel on each other. But when solo, we use a water-based lube. They work on everything!

I prefer a water based lube, plain as can be for all the regular stuff, and something a bit more if i'm going down on him

Even though it can be a pain to get off sometimes, we always go for silicone as it doesn't wear off mid session.
