We use Wet Platinum for almost everything and maximus for anything that is made of silicone
What is your “go-to” lube? What is your favorite? Why?

It's the closest one to the bed..

I voted for Maximus but since I got a couple Sliquid lubes I'm definitely stuck on them. They're so body safe and inexpensive it's really stupid to keep buying a lube with parabens.

I love Climax brand.

I love KY

any of the astroglides because they just feel the best.

Astroglide Gel. I love how thick it is, works better than any lube I've tried so far.

Many, many years ago when I went into a local sex toy shop to buy my first sex toy, the clerk said that I would need a lubricant and recommended Astroglide. It worked well back then and I've used it ever since. I have a tried a couple of other lubes, but they didn't work as well for me as original Astroglide. And my local grocery store carries it, so it has always been easy to get. However, considering the number of "new and improved" lubes on the market today, I might be willing to try something different.

We use Pink Water as our go-to lube. We find that it feels very natural and lasts a decent while. It does, however, dry out if left in the open air. If it is spread thin and then exposed to moving air, such as that coming from a fan, it will dry out within a minute. This is our only complaint. Otherwise, we believe that it works very well for all purposes!

If your go-to lube is a silicone based lube, what do you use when you use silicone toys?
Is your lube selection different for PIV, toys or anal? Or do you use the same lube for all activities?
Other lubes or silicone or oil based lubes, please explain why you prefer these, and what you use when you use toys that are not compatible with these lubes.
Obviously, I couldn’t include all lubes that Eden carries, so please let us know what you like and why less

I like KY because it's water-based (i.e. safe), long-lasting, and pretty dang effective.

Liquid Silk for almost everything, I don't really like silicone based lubes, but the bit of dimethicone makes Liquid Silk stick around long enough.

I like Sliquid Organics natural, though their gel is nice too because it is thicker which can be less messy and easier to manage. I really liked Sliquid Organics Silk, but since it is a hybrid lube (water and silicone) it is easier just have a water-based lube for mixing with silicone toys. Natural feels great, I love it, and it's great with all materials.

I love Maximus. I have tried many different lubes and found this one is excellent. Glycerin free, non sticky/pasty and it lasts the whole session without having to reapply constantly like some others I have tried.
12/11/2011
My go to lube is a water based lubricant by Ocean Sensuals. It's body safe, natural, and has carageenan in it which I believe repairs any microscopic tears in the vagina/labia.
12/12/2011
For vaginal play, I use Sliquid H2O. I occasionally have to reapply, but that doesn't bother me too much because it feels a lot like my own natural lubrication - just more plentiful. I've been using Sliquid H2O Ride for anal play, but I'm currently giving their Sassy Booty lube a try, too. Much as I love the Ride, I get irritated by the dark brown bottle - it's hard to see how much I have left without ripping the label off. Both seem to work pretty well.
I also like System JO H2O, but a while ago I started noticing the stickiness a bit more, and I'm trying to use more body-friendly stuff, so I'm phasing it out. Though the flavored version is still my go-to if I want to practice oral on my toys - it just tastes really good!

I like Sliquid Silk for vaginal and anal.

I currently use Liquid Silk for vaginal and Maximus for anal. I haven't had any reactions yet to the parabens, but I'm thinking I should find a new go-to lube before reactions start happening.
I've used Sliquid organics, but I just didn't like it as much as the feel of the Liquid Silk. I'll look at some of the others though. I wish Eden sold a sample kit with sachets of various lubes.

I may get some flak from this, but I prefer to use lotion or whatever water-based lube I have around. I don't have a sensitive vagina, thankfully and have never gotten a yeast infection,UTI or anything else from using various lotions and lubes.
01/02/2012
I hardly ever need lubricant at all. My go-to is KY liquid, just because I have a bottle of it that has lasted me forever.
01/02/2012
i recently got Maximus, i am a believer now. maximus is one of my favorite lubes and is certainly the best anal lube ever.
01/03/2012
My girlfriend and I really like Wet Platinum. A little bit goes a long way. If we ever run out, I might look into this Maximus I keep hearing about.

I like using mostly water based lubes. I prefer the gel or thicker lubes for anal play or heavy penetration, as it seems to last longer. I also like the thinner water based lubes for silkier sensations, more smooth gliding for vaginal penetration. I like the natural Astroglide, which is paraben and glycerine free, made up of mostly natural ingredients. Though it's not gel, it's fairly thick...
Love U Water, by defunct Love U Parties, is a nice lube that doesn't get gummy after a long while of use, but you will need to reapply. Tantus still sells what supplies they have left of it.
I've been trying Frolic (same makers of Pink & Pink Water), which is specifically for toy use. It's amazing. It's slightly thicker than Love U Water, but thinner than Astroglide's Natural lube. Only thing is that it does get gummy, but it lasts for a really long time before it dries out...And no irritation afterwards. Another plus is it's also made of body safe ingredients, and is paraben and glycerine free! Guess I'm more health conscious than I realized. I would like to try some of the silicone ones, but it'd have to be with safe, non-silicone toys...or during partner sex.

Shunga toko aroma lubricant

We use wet products, normally water based lube so it cannot gum up the toys
02/29/2012
My fave is Wet Synergy, which hasn't destroyed any of my toys yet (I always spot-test.) but I also have ID Pleasure that I keep around just in case. (In case I run out, or in case I end up with a bad spot-test.)

I am on the hunt for better lube all the time, and we are desperate right now! I apparently am, all the sudden, sensitive to Maximus, which has always been our go to vaginal sex lube. Unfortunately, I can't even use it anally because it burns bad! That really sucks, since I have a whole unopened bottle. At P'Gell's suggestion, I went looking for Sliquid's H2O Ride at the local sex shop, they unfortunately did not have Ride, but they have the H2O.
Should I try the H2O instead or should I wait and just order the Ride H2O from Eden? Have you tried the other one?
For anal, we use Gun Oil Silicone. Seems to work best for us thus far. My body seems just fine with things for awhile and then all the sudden, WHAMMO! and I can never use whatever again without more, WHAMMO! Not good.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated. less
