What does Sliquid (and other vegan/naturals) use as a preservative ? (anti bacterial agent)

So I was checking out some ingredients lists for some water based lubes and although it is nice that some lubes are paraben free, it is a concern that they don't include another ingredient that acts as anti-bacterial agent.

I see some have various types of sugar alcohol (like sorbitol) which is good (for non edible lubes) as some bacteria aren't able to metabolize it.

But it does have water and plant cellulose which to my understanding, is a perfectly good diet for bacteria to survive on.

I am interested in natural/vegan products but I am concerned in how they can negatively impact hard to clean toys.

I see some have ... more
The vegan, organic lubricant I use has an expiration date because it doesn't include preservatives.

Thanks for the heads up. Going to do a little more research myself.

one of the newer preservatives i've heard of in lubes is phenoxyethanol. supposed to be safer than others
