Toy safe silicone lube

Contributor: Pumpk1nPatch Pumpk1nPatch
Pure Romance has a lubricant called pure silk. It's silicone based and it says it's compatible with ALL toys. The reps claim it won't discolor or degrade silicone toys. I'm have my doubts.
Any thoughts on this?

High quality silicone lube is safe to use with 100% silicone toys. However, you should always spot test first to be sure.

A lot of so-called hybrid lubes have silicone ingredients, but somehow with different emulsifiers they are ok to use with silicone.

Pjur is approved for use with We-Vibe. So it is possible for some toys/lubes. But like a previous poster said, spot test.

I wouldn't trust it cuz I've read so much that mixing the two can be harmful to my toy. and, my toys are treasures I want to have forever.

Kindred said it best. 100% pure silicone toys are ok to use silicone lube. BUT be aware, many toy companies use lesser grade silicone, and/or only use 10% (or random number) of the toy is quality silicone. Do a spot test to be safe.

(I know it sounds confusing but think of it like this. In many marketing ploys, we know Egyptian cotton is a great quality towel. However, many towel or sheet companies, will advertise, "made with 100% pure Egyptian cotton". However; that only means that the actual amount of Egyptian cotton they use (which in some towels and sheets, is only the thread used to sew the edges) is Egyptian cotton. Makes sense?)

From my understanding of what I have been reading lately, it's the opposite of that. High quality, pure silicone lube and toys should be compatible. When either is not exclusively silicone, the lube can degrade the toys. It's all a bit confusing, but this is a very informative article by Metis Black, who appears to be the lube guru.
