Suggestions for a Toy-friendly, Body-safe Lube?

I have a bottle of System JO H2O Anal and after my most recent vacation a part of the inside of the cap seems to be just broken enough for it to leak. I'm trying to decide if I just want to replace it or repackage it into a new bottle. I thought I'd take the opportunity to look at new lubes. I'm looking for something for anal and something for other types of play, hopefully one with as few nasty chemicals as possible that isn't going to damage most toys (silicone and composites, elastomer, and yes, jelly to be specific). What are your favorites for each different kind of play? Or your main stay? I've used a lot of the System JO formulas before and I'm wondering how people who have tried several others like them or if there is something that shows them up for whatever reason.

I use Maximus for everything. Works so well and it avoids having to make a lube decision in the heat of play.

I like Sliquid Organics natural lube. It works well everywhere, even under water.

Honestly depends on what your doing and with what =) for anal, i prefer to use Pjur Back Door/ Analyze Me silicone lubricants *i put both because they're the same. Back Door seems to work a little better though* They dont numb, but relax muscles. i like feeling everything going on back there =3 um, if you're with partner, that's what i'd suggest, the same with toys, unless using silicone toy. If using a silicone toy, they do make the muscle relaxant in a spray form so you can apply that first then reach for a good waterbased. before moving to water based, if you're looking for a lubricant that you can use in multiple areas, i'd say go with one of Pjur's original or light love lubes, and get the Analyze Me spray just for when doing anal. With water based lubes, I really like Sliquid. I've been using their waterbased Ride formula because it's really thick, so it stays where i want it to. It's the same thing as their Sassy formula. their regular H2O formula is good as well but a little too thin for me. the good thing about Sliquid is they use plant cellulose as a thickener so it doesn't get sticky. they are a completely vegan company, no animal anything in their products =)

Hi Lynx,

We've definitely used this toy with multiple anal toys and haven't had any reactions or problems with our toys. Anal play with the lube is a blast and so smooth.

If you are in need of a silicone lube that lasts a long time..but trust me I mean after washing it still remains. Gun Oil it works so well and it lasts forever.

Lubricant's will vary based upon their texture and how long they last. It's a total mood killer to keep grabbing the lube because it gets sticky or wears off to quickly. I personally like a lube that stays silky smooth in texture, is long lasting, and doesn't require you to use so much at any given time.

This is great to know. I love the feel of JO, but the leaking is such a pain to deal with. I'll have to look into Maximus.

I use Maximus for anal, and either Fun Factory Toyfluid or JO H20 for everything else, depending on how slippery I need the lube to be for the toy to perform its best. Toyfluid is superior for matte silicone finishes, for example, while anything works for glass, so why waste it.

I'm not sensitive to anything in lube, though, so some of my choices have glycerin. I've never used any silicone lube at all, because in addition to the possibility of damaging a beloved toy, it's also harder to clean, so I don't want it on my sheets or nightstand, or on my body when I'm not headed straight for the shower.
