Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for a good kind I can buy that can be used for massage and as a personal lube. My partner mentioned this the other day and I would really like to surprise him. I was looking at some KY brands any of those good?

We have used the KY 2 in 1 Touch Warming one. It works well as both a massage oil and a personal lubricant. It's not the best lube in the world, but it's easy to find, not too expensive, and has a nice warming sensation.

I think it is water based, but I'm not sure, so I wouldn't use it with any toys until you check for sure. I do know that all KY products are supposed to be latex compatible, so they are good for use with condoms.
It has a decently strong warming sensation as a massage oil and as a lube, which is enjoyable.
The only complaint I remember having about it is that it's a little bit thin. But I think it would be good for your purposes as long you don't need a whole lot of thick lubrication.

I like to use drugstore.com for ingredients in lubricants that edenfantasys doesn't carry. Their data for the K-Y 2 in 1 Touch Warming that Wolf Boi suggested can be found here: link

I stay away from K-Y as a general rule because most of their products really aren't that good. I haven't used this particular product, though, so I'm not making any judgement on this item particularly.
Silicone based lubricants last a long time and are great for your skin and work great for sex as well, just don't use them on silicone toys. Oil based massage oils are designed for massage but are not intended for vaginal sex. I guess I would suggest a nice silicone based lubricant like Better Sex Essentials Silicone Lubricant: link
Have fun!

My fantasy is to have a pump bottle on our headboard of something that is a massage oil/lotion first but would be safe to help as an anal lube.
Not sure if y'all will buy this, but 3 times out of 4 we don't need lube to go from vag to anal, taking it slow and using our natural juices. (Of course, it's always her initiative and I never go the other direction!) I'm looking for something to help along that 1 out of 4 when we can't quite get to the full experience.
Therefore, I just need a mild substance that works well on skin for massage but only needs to add a little slickness. (We are married and monogamous, so condoms don't enter the mix.)
Thanks, and what/where is BSE? My search efforts have been fruitless.

Great question! Generally, silicone sex lubricants with light or medium viscosity work great for body massage:
Pjur Bodyglide link
System JO silicone warming lubricant link
Pjur light love link
There are massage oils and lotions that are made with sex in mind without using any type of oil making them latex friendly:

I understand that latex is not a concern however I suggest avoiding oil based massage products for sex as they can cause yeast infection in women. Stick with silicone lubes - great for massage and sex, small amount will go long way.

Thanks sooo much! I definintely will stay away from oil unless we're talking neck and shoulders. I very much appreciate the info and want to avoid a problem like that!! I'll check these out.

I think oil gets a bad rap - certainly mineral or petroleum oils have issues.

However we use what I now refer to as butter-based lube. These lubes are made with combination of Shea & Cocoa butters + other ingredients like Vitamin E oil and fragrances - we like vanilla & citrus.
Check out:

I have to say that although we like silicone lubes for use with certain penetrative toys - especially for anal play - we would never use them for a massage of other body areas.
These 'butter' formulated oils leave your skin feeling very rejuvenated - enjoy trying new things!

Yes, some lubes with natural organic oils can be safe.
- Everyone has a different flora down there so it's better to start slowly and wait on your body's reaction.
- I also must add that natural oil might cause problems for oily skin. I personally love Love balm lubricant link - it's made of organic ingridients and smells great, but I would never use it on my back.
- Besides that oil absorbs by the skin easily and it might not last long enough.
Silicone or natural oil based - just listen to your body.
