Liquid Silk vs. Maximus lube

Looking for a new go-to lube and trying to decide between Liquid Silk and Maximus. If anyone's tried both, what are the advantages/disadvantag es of each? What pros/cons do they have over each other?

Also, how's the taste?

I haven't tried Liquid Silk yet, so I can't compare the two. I loooove Maximus though. The taste isn't great, but it's not completely disgusting. If you can avoid getting it in your mouth, you're better off.

I have heard a lot of great things about Liquid Silk though, so I definitely want to try that too!

You can't get either here at the moment.... The same company produces both, and Maximus is wonderful.. I've only ever heard good things about Liquid Silk (which I assume is Maximus with a very small bit of silicone added).


I would imagine Liquid Silk goes a little bit further because of the silicone content, but it could prove to be an issue with some silicone toys.

I've tried Liquid Silk before and loved it. Can't say anything about the taste though, as I avoid getting any lubes in my mouth at all costs.

I will caution you that Liquid Silk has some silicone ingredients in it, even though the front of the label says "water based". Use on your silicone toys at your own risk.
