So I posted a thread recently discussing vitamin e being used with condoms and did not get any responses. My wife and I planning to switch our BC method from the pill to condoms. Looking at various lubricants, I've noticed some of them have vitamin e and aloe vera in them. I'm looking at Pink right now as it seems pretty well rated in addition to some other silicone and water based lubes and was wondering if these types of lubes with vitamin e are really condom safe. Thanks.

As far as I know, yes. Pink and other vitamin E containing lubricants (gun oil, for instance) are marketed specifically as condom safe lubricants. In addition, as far as I know, vitamin E doesn't only come in the form of an oil. I've used it on scars, etc. in the form of a gel. Most vitamins can come in multiple forms and be carried on multiple bases, even though one of those forms IS an oil. You'll notice the ingredients of Pink do not list 'vitamin E oil', just 'vitamin E'. And I personally can endorse that it's a fantastic product, even for those with super sensitive skin like myself. Just be sure not to use it with silicone toys

Thanks Tori. Yes the reviews make it sound pretty nice. I'm looking at getting Pink, Probe Thick and Rich, Better sex essentials silicone lubricant, and possibly Maximus just because I've heard such good things about it. I know it has parabens and so may cause issues but figure it's worth a shot.

Thanks Tori! Awesome answer. I just ordered a medium sized bottle of Pink and a bottle of Maximum. The lube that I have now is slightly sticky, so I have been trying to find something new.

Syd you must have gotten it right before it went out stock. I only saw one size for pink. Are there different sized bottles available? You said Maximum, did you mean Maximus?

I haven't tried the Better sex essentials, but I've tried all the others and Pink and Maximus are two of my all-time favorites. I also like Probe but for me it just doesn't compete with the others but is still definitely high on the list!

Yes, I ment Maximus. LOL I noticed that just after I submitted me post. Also, I double checked my order and I actually ordered Pink Water, not the original Pink. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah gotcha that makes sense. Yeah I've heard good things about Maximus but then some people have issues with it. I figure it worth a shot. Are you sensitive to different lubricants at all?

Will do. It's definitely a big change with BC and I want to make sure it goes as well as possible since I know we've had so many issues with lubes in the past so I figure if I get enough one of them has to work

LOL, with an effort toward being cost efficient, what I would recommend is to try a water based vs a silicone first...some people don't like the way silicone feels - some people (myself included) love it and prefer it over water based for most things. Once you've figured out that, it may be easier to sort through other ones, narrowing down by qualities you like. Say you like water based, but want a thicker one that what you originally tried, you can head in that direction. Or if you end up liking silicone and then want to go flavored. You may also find you like different lubes for different acts, depending on what you like to do together. There's plenty of people here well-versed on the subject that have tried lots of different things so once you have a better idea of exactly what you like and are looking for, there will be plenty of suggestions for what to try next, I'm sure

Thanks Tori, a couple things that are factoring into this. One I'm trying to do everything in one order to take advantage of the 30% off coupon. Second she is only finishing out her current BC pack and then that's it and we'll be going on a weekend getaway right afterward and I'd hate it to be ruined by us not having a good lube. You're right about the silicone thing. I may just get Better sex essentials silicone lubricant for the silicone end since the original pink is out of stock anyway.

I have not found any products or lubes that irritate me at all... but I don't think I have ever used anything but water based lube. I have so many different types of toys, and everything is compatible with water based lubes, I generally stick with that.
