I find this tube extremely boring and unappealing. I'm a bit ashamed to say that this makes me trust the company less (I guess I associate advanced design with big budgets based on product success), and reduces how much I want to buy it. Do you have the same experience, or do you only care about the product inside the container? Am I being unfair to indie brands?
How much does packaging matter?

It's all about performance, I say. Attractive packaging is nice and all, but it's not really mandatory.

I never judge a book by it's cover, it's what is inside that matters to me. I have a toy that has a totally awesome storage case but the toy was unusable due to manufacturing defects. On the other hand, one of my favorite dil's just came in a plastic bag with a cardboard top.

If the ingredients look good, I don't care about the packaging. Fun Factory and Tantus both have super lame packaging (plastic, cardboard, not a lot of colors) and are my favorite brands, but nice packaging is just a bonus.

I only care about the product; I'm not affected by what kind of packaging it came in, as long as it was sturdy and protected the toy during shipment.

i think the reviews have more of an effect on my opinion.

Packaging would put me off if it looked cheap etc, but if I had heard good thing about a product I would be willing to overlook the packaging to try it.
