I check for allergy information, glide, how long lasting, etc. and take personal comments with a grain f salt. Add everything up and make my decision.

I like the reviews to let me know if it's sticky, greasy, long-lasting, etc because I cannot stand sticky greasy lubricants.

Reviews help you get to know the product before you buy it, they are wonderful resource to have.

I have had allergic reations in the past and so I am very cautious about which products I will try or use. So first I weed out products with offending ingredients. Then of those that remain I read reviews and listen to input from the forums or friends. I have tried lubes that were fine from an ingredient stand point but didn't feel great or were unappealing in other ways. So trying something that is highly recomended can save you time and money! Are you looking for recomendations, or are you more interested in the way EFers make decisions?

I also need to check the name of the Liube and it is bottle before buying, so it is not stopped by Customs.

Lube is the one product I don't rely on reviews too much for. I'm sensitive to a lot of ingredients and many reviews won't touch on that. I've read too many reviews of lubes that burned my insides that claimed it was the "best lube ever!" to trust lube reviews anymore. I basically weed out lubes based on the ingredient listing first and foremost. Then I'll glance through the reviews to see if it's sticky or only lasts 10 seconds. If too many people claim it's sticky, I'm less likely to buy it.
I also can't go too much on reviews because I like thinner lube than most people, I guess. I like some thickness, but not a lot. Generally the lubes I like people deem " too thin" in their reviews, so that's another reason I can't go on reviews for lube so much.

Haha, so you can look for lubes that a lot of people don't like and be good! LOL. I am that way with vibrators and dildos sometimes since I don't like anything long and thick or anything super strong in vibration so sometimes people's cons are pluses for me!

I am actually the same way Charltnarouh! But I check to see what ingredients are in the product since I am sensitive!

The ingredient list is the *most* important thing to me, but reviews are a deciding factor between products with acceptable ingredient lists.

I usually try to see if people are generally satisfied with the lube and go from there.
02/06/2012
I always compare products before I buy anything

We've been at this long enough that we know what we like - and just stay with our favorites.

I do. Mostly in regards to consistency and taste.

It definitely depends on the item that I am purchasing, as to how far I go with recommendations.
1.Reviews-What are people saying about the product? I also make sure to watch video reviews so I can get a "real life size comparison".
2.Company-What is their repuation? Do they have a good product line? Are they high end quality?
3. Cost-How badly do I want this item? If I want it REALLY bad, then Ill search heaven and earth for as much info as possible. If its something Im buying on a whim and just want to have, Ill browse the reviews. If its not high cost, Ill take a chance. If its super expensive, then Ill do some more checking into it.
Then you have those that just didn't "fit" the toy or product. Me, Im more into the massage items. BIG into them. Some folks may not be, so they don't have much to say about the product. Me on the other hand, it might just rock my world for what I need it for.

i read reviews and see how many people had problems with a lube. if it does not have too many negative reviews, then I will give it a try.

Just read a bunch of reviews to pick out my next new lube. I take them with a grain of salt, though, because you never can really know if you'll have the same experience the reviewer had until you've actually tried it. It's just an educated guess in my opinion.

I always read the reviews for a lube
02/08/2012
I read the reviews for EVERYTHING!
02/08/2012
I check the reviews for such things as any adverse reactions they might have encountered, if it's too sticky, if it runs all over the place, if it has bad ingredients in it, if you have to continually reapply.
02/08/2012
I'm new to different lubricants. SO I have been reading everything. I'm still learning about it all. So I read all reviews.
02/08/2012
I'm kind of a lube geek. I do a ton of research, and reviews are a big part of that.
02/15/2012
I like to try different lubes. I have found I really hate some kinds of lubes and really like others. I'm more of a water-based lube fan and have found some water-based lubes I didn't like too. I research too but mostly just close my eyes and pick a new one till I find my favorite.

If it’s lube I’m super picky!! First thing i look at usually are the ingredients.. i will NOT use anything that isn’t organic or contains glycerine. After that i read the comments... i want to see what they think it smells like and the texture... some lines are sticky others don’t last long enough... i just want to make sure if I’m going to invest in something like that I’m going to get my moneys worth.
