I say no, only because my partner and I fully appreciate the intense pleasure. I see no reason to desensitize unless it was a huge issue.

We use it on rare occasions if we want my SO to last longer. If it's been a few weeks that we haven't been able to play then we use it because otherwise he will finish in no lie 5 mins and I won't get to. Other than that I'd say no.
