i really haven't tried many lubes - pretty much only astroglide and maximus - but i've found that whenever i'm a little raw or i've just shaved, i get a really irritating stinging sensation whenever lube is applied. is it just me, or are there any lubes that don't sting at all?

Maximus has a very powerful warming sensation that some people compare to burning. You might try probe silky smooth or thick and rich (I prefer thick and rich for anal), but go with a smaller size first because some women get rashes with it (due to Vegetable Glycerin).

Max is my go-to and I've never noticed a warming/burning sensation...YMMV.

I'd suggest trying out a few sample sizes of different lubes until you find one you like. It could be possible that you're allergic or sensitive to one of the ingredients.

I have most of the lubes that Sliquid makes and don't have this issue with those. I did have that issue with nearly every other lube out there. I'm sensitive to glycerin and parabens though, so that's likely why.

I second Sliquid as a nice option for sensitive users. I'm not usually too sensitive so I can use other lubes, but I enjoy Sliquid H2O because it feels so natural and doesn't get sticky. If you want something thicker, Sliquid Ride H2O might do the trick.

I'm sensitive to Maximus and Sliquid if my ass is irritated. They work ok usually. Babeland's Babelube is the least irritating for me, even when other lubes are causing burning (I usually switch to Babelube if other lubes are causing issues).

YES lubricants are AMAZING but they don't carry them on EF yet. I highly highly recommend trying it out. link

Double-quadrupling the Sliquid lubes. Try to go for the organic if you can afford it, but if not I really love the Sassy formula.

I tend to notice slight stinging in a lot of lubes too. Intimate Organics line have some very amazing lubes with no sting! I love those, but my all time fav is liquid silk. It's never caused me any irritation. I've used all the lubes from the Pink line and surprisingly hated them all. I mostly use Liquid Silk, Maximum and Sex Is Natural by Intimate OrganicS. I'VE Used all from them and love them all! I'd recommend those.
