Has anyone had a burning sensation because of lube?

Contributor: MVR MVR
Every lube I've tried burns a tiny bit on penetration. I've tried only water based lubes, but before I knew about health issues I've used Vaseline and Olive Oil. Those didnt burn. I know I dont have any STI's, what could be up?

I have that issue with any lube with parabens in it. I use Sliquid now and no issues.

I'm hearing a lot of good things about Sliquid, I think I will check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!

You're likely to be allergic to a common ingredient -- parabens is an excellent guess, but compare all the lubes that caused the issue and see what they have in common. Then order a lube without those ingredients.

I agree with Kira the ONLY lube I have found that I have no issue with is Sliquid lubes, I use the Sliquid Botanically Infused lube.

Yes. It is probably due to glycerin, parabens or other harmful chemicals. Try YES! It is a lubricant that is 100% organic and natural. It is my favorite. I doubt you will have any reactions to it. I also like Intimate organics' line because they're usually made with safer ingredients, but I have yet to find a lube that is totally organic and effective besides YES! Look em' up. I did try one of the natural ones here... what's it called? Sliquid! I did not feel it was effective enough for me as a lubricant though. I highly recommend YES! I doubt it's an infection. Do not use vaseline though, it's not the best down there because vaginas can't shed the thick greasy stuff as well. You mentioned it and olive oil did not burn -- then I definitely think you'd love YES!

Definitely the ingredients. Sorry you had that sensation. ID lubes do that to me.

I've had different water base lubes burn a lil during penetration. That's what I like silicone base for. They give no probs at all
