I've noticed more and more lingerie pieces that are shown with panties do not include the panties. I understand that the models are not going to be shown with no panties, but shouldn't skin tone panties be an option. Does it bother anyone else that the lingerie is shown as a complete set but sold in pieces?

Those images are provided by the manufacturer and it's common place across all retailers. It's to "complete" the look. I've seen so many things at other retailers where I'm like, "man I really hate that top, but those panties are super sweet where are those?"; the general response is "we don't carry them".
Joy. I mean I get how frustrating it is, but at the same time if the manufacturer doesn't have the item in their catalog we can't carry it and to do individual shoots for models in certain pieces gets really expensive. We have to pay for their time, put the ad out, schedule, get the pics...
It's just not as black and white as it seems.

Yeah, it does bother me a bit. They show a whole outfit and that's not what is for sale...and sometimes the description of the item isn't clear enough to let you know that it doesn't come with everything pictured.

It does bother me that a lingerie outfit is shown with all these fun things (ex. a mask or a pair of thigh highs) and then when you get it it is a disappointment to not see everything that was in the picture. Maybe Eden will offer two prices on each lingerie piece...One price is just for the lingerie and the second price is if you would like the props added to the outfit.
10/23/2012
does not bother me.
10/23/2012
As long as the description is clear as to what is included when you buy the item, it doesn't matter to me. Eden can't really control what is in the promotional photos provided by the manufacturers.
10/23/2012
It doesn't bother me that much so long as they say it's not included. I mean, I may still really want that piece and be disappointed it's not offered, but I don't get too upset over it.

I actually bought the skirtini set that said they cam with panties and didn't but I like it so much and it was such a good deal that I kept them.
10/23/2012
I think they can be shown with complimentary panties, but it has to very clearly say that the panties are not included.
10/23/2012
It only bothers me because I usually want the matching panties and they usually aren't stocked.
10/23/2012
Well, it only bothers me if the panties are something I'd like to have as well and Eden doesn't carry them.
10/23/2012
When the product description is clear as to what is and is not included, it is alright. Still disappointing if you can't get a piece that is shown, but as long as the product is properly represented, I can live with it.

It bothers me.

It actually doesnt bother me. While I would LOVE to get complementive peices in my orders (I'd pay for seperates), I wear different tops than bottoms (sizes). Case in point. I got the Lacy Corset for $34 and while I fit the top beautifully, the Gstring is flipping huge on me.

Yes, I'm with you. It bothers me very much because I'm pretty sure it's done to give us that idea, throw us off and in hopes of us making impulse buys. It is misleading and I am unlikely to buy from a company who often does this without clearly stating. I mean how hard is it to photograph THE ITEM being sold? Not the person wearing it, not the other items they've decided to throw in for cute looks, but the actual FREAKING item being sold. When I'm selling a set of nails to a customer, I don't pick up a different design and pretend they will get it as well. I show them WHAT they will be getting.

Yes, it angers me.

I do not blame or get upset with Eden in any way--it is way beyond their control!!
I do get mad at the manufacturer, they are the ones that do the model photos and send them out to the retailers. The company should boldly state not included on each item that does not come with the outfit--and have it on each picture as well. There would be no confusion and every one would be a winner.

It bothers me, but mostly because I cannot always find the other piece shown. Sometimes there is a multi piece set and I can't find half of it. why won't they #shutupandtakemymoney

Kendra, we stock over 7,000 items at any one given time. We use stock photos from the manufacturer, often per their request. The description of the item clearly states what is and what is not included.

This is standard business practice for most businesses in the retail industry and we look to the reviews to give us additional information.
I don't know about anyone else, but I like seeing the item on someone, not just against a table. There's also a "complete the look" widget underneath the product information for just about everything we carry. If you click that banner it will open up a window and show you the pieces we have that match.

It only bugs me if it's not clearly stated somewhere that the panty or whatever isn't included in the set.
10/24/2012
I actually enjoy seeing ways to complete the look. As long as the product page accurately states what is included I'm okay. Even if Eden doesn't carry the EXACT piece in the picture, chances are they have something close.
Although when I can't even find something close, it's a little disappointing. I wouldn't go so far to say it angers me though.

Have you ever gone to the brand's site to see what they carry? Obviously I'm not suggesting you get it elsewhere if we carry it, but I can honestly say that I have had issues buying lingerie from places regardless of where I go. Too big, too small, too expensive, like the top/hate the bottom, like the bottom/hate the top...I mean I wish I could say there was a better solution but until the designers start making what people are actually asking for, we've kind of got our hands tied. I hate it and I hate it for you all, I wish there was a way to just wave a magic wand and make it so. Unfortunately, as with most things in life, there isn't one. Or at least not one that is handy for all parties involved, it seems.

It only bothers me when the perfectly matching panties aren't available to purchase separately, or it doesn't clearly state that they aren't included.
