Which is sexier in your book, see-through/sheer/lace or peek-a-boo/open?

I would have voted for both if that was an option.

I think a hint of what's underneath tends to be sexier than having it all out there to be seen. I've made the comment to my girlfriend that I actually think the sexiest underwear for women is boy shorts, which actually cover more than most other styles; however, it's due to typically the lines of the short accent the curve of the butt and as one excited by butts, this is sexier to me. It's this hint of what lies beneath vs just showing me that seems to have more of a draw in terms of sexiness of clothes.

I agree with you regarding the lingerie, however, my preference the hipster style as opposed to the boy short style as far as the "everyday" sexy undies. For the weekend/special occasion I'm sorry but pants down nothing beats the almighty G string. Just my $.02!

Feels pretty obvious - with the suspense and the charm of a mystery the lace and mesh provides, many people would vote for it.
But it's only really good for putting on a show - when it comes to the real deal, peek-a-boo is the only thing that really works, providing explicit access to strategic points, if you know what I mean. With lace or mesh, you'd have to take it off, which kind of ruins the atmosphere, or rip it off, which kinda spoils your wallet.
