I am drawn to alot of the same colors and so to mix it up and save money I will mix and match sets to get more from less.

There are many items that either do not work as a set but single items look good, the pieces compliment other lingerie items or creative ways to wear it as casual/dressy wear in public. I have NEVER been able to keep one outfit together and never wear the individual pieces with other items. Stretching out my wardrobe with accents is one of my huge deals and this crosses over into my lingerie collection....

I don't own any sets, and usually I just wear whatever. But every now and then I'll color, or style coordinate.

I've got a nude bra with black lace overlay that I like to pair with my black cotton undies with the lace back.

The majority of my lingerie is either black or red, while an all black "outfit" is fine with me wearing all red makes me feel silly so I will pair something red with something black.

I tend to keep everything but the bottoms with everything! I've used a thong for a nurses costume with a maid's costume. Somehow it's only the panties.

I sleep in sexy lingerie every night. I pick stuff that is sexy and comfortable. It is my "gift wrap" for my hubby's pleasure every night. He wears a nightshirt so I have easy access to all his delights too. Since I do have tons of lingerie I indeed mix and match. Last night I wore a hot pink "Baby Doll" but put on canary yellow crotch-less panties. It actually looked pretty good (although with the lights off, who can tell)?

Since you are self called "Dr Anal" (are you a "doctor, doctor" in the real world)? In any case, you might appreciate the fact that in my lingerie drawer, what I do have matched up is my anal plugs and my crotchless panties. I usually wear no undies or crotchless (always ready to play), and since hubby bought me a dozen metal plugs with "jewels" on the base, I match the jewel color to the panty color...I have red, yellow, green, pink, blue and white!

Believe it or not, it is the only color I have no lingerie in...black. I never liked wearing black and hubby doesn't care for it either, despite the fact it is like the "most common" lingerie color. He wants me in white, pink, or any candy colors..red, blue, pink..etc. For us, lingerie is "gift wrap" for the present inside (me), so I never feel silly, no matter what it is I am wearing. If he thinks it is sexy, then it is sexy! I could wear Saran Wrap or Painters Tape (I have done both) and he finds that sexy too!

I'm drawn to a lot of the same colors also. I like my black with some pink and black with blue and black with greens so since I have several different ones of those colors I'll mix and match. I have a few white with black too. I love mixing and matching!
