I had no idea where to put this so here is my best bet. So what is you opinion on them? Girls, do you like that little extra oomph? What about the guys? Do you feel like it's cheating or trickery? Personally, I don't like them. Very rarely I'll wear one. What about you guys? Feel free to discuss why you do and do not like them.
Men and Women: What is your opinion on push up bras?

I'm pretty indifferent to push-up bras, I don't think they're all that deceptive really, but I also think women shouldn't feel obligated to have that extra oomph if it's not naturally there!
03/20/2012
I am on the large side so I am not comfortable wearing them but I will admit that I think they look great on some people and have even bought them for my oldest daughter.
03/20/2012
I have size 36 B breasts so I always wear a push up bra.
03/20/2012
I love them. I'm a full C cup, and I like a little extra, as well as the extra support. I have breasts that will actually fall out of the side or bottom of a regular bra, so a "wall" to keep the girls where they belong is good.
03/20/2012
I like them. It keeps everything in place nicely and adds a bit of extra oomph when I want without having to have the large breasts that might bother me later in life.
03/20/2012
I am a very full DDD cup. I do not like it. Wearing a push up bra makes me feel like I am drowning in boobs and they are going to smack me in the chin. I also dislike that it makes my breast ache when I wear them up too high. I never wear a push up bra, anymore.
03/20/2012
I've never been able to find a push-up in my cup size, so I really have no opinion about them one way or another.
03/20/2012
I love wearing a push-up bra. It doesn't make my B-cups look bigger, it just puts them up front and centre to give a nice cleavage line for low cut tops.
03/20/2012
I am a 34D-DD and I said I don't care. My boobs sag with a weak bra, so I like them more than those types, but if I wear them my boobs are popping out of everywhere! I don't think my man knows the difference with or without though!
03/20/2012
A lot of women find after they've had kids that their breasts seem to be... lower than they were before. For me, one good thing about a push up bra is that it puts my stuff back where it should be to look nice.
I can understand not being comfortable in them if you have really large breasts, though.

whatever she wants really
03/20/2012
It depends on what I am wearing.
03/20/2012
They're just uncomfortable for me. I try to avoid them when possible, though when I was a teen I wore them all the time.
03/20/2012
I don't wear a bra, period. :/

Too uncomfortable to wear.
03/20/2012
For me, I think underwire bras are the most comfortable. I need the support.
03/20/2012
I am pretty indifferent to them. I used to wear them when I was a teenager and wore a smaller cup size, but I am a DD now and like Beck would feel like I am drowning in boobs if I were to wear one at this point. Maybe when I am a little older and need the extra support I will revert back to them or if I lose weight and my boobs shrink.
03/20/2012
They don't work for me but I don't have a preference on if other girls wear them or not.

This is how I feel, too. They have more support and they keep my nipples at bay. ("Back, nipples, back I say!")

You left out the option that "I don't wear any bras"!
Well, I do, for pleasure times only, and have never tried push up bras but I am strongly thinking about getting one... ^^

Its no trickery, my man knows my boobs very well. And you can wear a push up without increasing your bust size... its just a way to show off what you got.... though some people do go a bit over-the-top with the whole "push up bra" thing

I have to have a little extra padding too(not crazy or anything),but without some sort of padding my nipples pop out and are VERY obvious, people tend to stare.

Funny I found this post. This weekend I did something I have never done before, went for a real bra fitting. My bras haven't ever fit right and I have changed size significantly going from an A32 to C36.
The fitter was amazing and she told me a few surprising things:
1. 90% of your support comes from your band so if it's loose you're going to flop
2. Light push up bras actually give larger busted women more support and a more natural look
Of course I was skeptical but when she put a couple on me I noticed how much better it felt AND it did look way more natural not all flattened and squished.
So I am now a huge fan of push ups! (Oh yeah I found out I was wearing the wrong size too...I'm a D34)

I have TINY boobs so I love push up bras!

I have both kinda of bras, I enjoy wearing push up bras to add a little definition, I don't choose the biggest padding available though. However, they can get uncomfortable if you wear them every day, all day (at least for me). I love my tshirt bras, they are comfy and make me feel comfortable if I need to be out in public, but don't need to be all done up. Comfy is best!

The one time I left out the infamous "other" option! Thank you for posting that! What is it like not wearing a bra anywhere? I have smaller perky nipples that will sometimes show through even with 2 shirts and a regular underwire bra, with no bra it's ridiculous.

Interesting comment about push up bras giving larger busted women more support, I didn't really think of that. Doesn't it feel better to be wearing the right size now?? I'm a 34A so I have little boobs (I call them my 2 little handfuls). I think I might try wearing push up bras more often though just to give them another shot.
