I'm always so frightened I will ruin something! Do you take extra precautions to keep your garments beautiful? Do you always read the washing care on the tags?
How do you wash your lingerie?

It depends on how delicate the lingerie is, some can just go in the gentle cycle in the washing machine. Even if it says not too.

Depends on what the item is. If it's something with boning in it, hand wash - definitely. Most other items I simply put in a lingerie bag and wash them in with all my other laundry. Then I hang them to dry. So far it's worked out.

I agree! I try to hand wash anything that is lace or mesh!

I completely agree. I would say about 90% of my stuff goes in the wash on the gentle cycle. The other 10% is extremely delicate stuff, mostly lace, that I won't risk.

I have hand washed my girlfriends bras before. Yea...I'm a nice guy.

I hand wash everything.

I use the bag in the machine for pretty much everything. I'm lazy....

Since I've owned a front-loading washer (no agitator) I will hand wash things that are especially delicate and/or expensive while everything else is separated into lingerie bags and run through the machine's hand wash cycle.
All delicates and hand wash items are air-dried.

I usually just take the chance and wash it in cold water in the machine with other lingerie and then let it air dry. My lingerie collection isn't super expensive. Occasionally I hand wash something. I actually hate using my lingerie bags for their intended purpose. I usually just use them when traveling to separate my lingerie from my every day clothes.

I draw a bath and combine like colors. I throw in some Don Lingerie Wash and soak the garments for about 15-20 minutes. Then rinse and do the same for the other colors. It's the fastest and easiest way to hand wash. The Dona lingerie wash all smells good. I love the Acai. I have tried every scent. The only one I did not like was camu camu. I buy a bunch of these bottles and have them laying everywhere. It works good for washing anything that needs hand washed. I even wash my curtains in it.

I use the Dona Lingerie Wash and wash all undergarments in that by hand. I use my bath tub and yes, I cheat. I will run the jets for a few minutes!! Then I hand the clothes outside to dry.

I hand wash everything that I really love. It's not much of a hassle and I enjoy the process. I usually use Soak because that's what I have on hand, but the Dona lingerie wash looks interesting. Gotta try that!

It all depends on the item really, if it's really delicate then i will definitely hand wash otherwise if I know theyll be ok they get their own load in the washer on the delicate cycle

sometimes i hand wash and sometimes i machine wash
08/30/2012
My SO and I prefer machine wash hang dry

Machine wash on delicate, I have a front load washer without an agitator in it so it doesn't really get "beat up" so to speak in the washing cycles. I don't use lingerie bags I just toss it all in the washer then hang dry. I have done this with ALL my lingerie an so far no problems.

My wife and I hand wash her lingerie, we don't want something to go wrong with the machine!

Cat E.
I use the good ole washing machine. I would never hand wash underwear unless they were brand new.

hahaha I'm like this too. If the lingerie doesn't seem to delicate, I'll use the lingerie bag in the washer on cold. Corsets and such, I hand wash.

It depends on the item. Bras and panties just get thrown in the washer. Other items in a pillow case because I don't own a lingerie bag.

it depends. Either hand wash or use a net
