Corset sizing - what are the numbers?

Contributor: JennSenn JennSenn
They list sizes as 32, 34, 36, and 38 but what is that for? Is that bust, waist or hip? Is that just the length of the corset? I can't seem to figure this out. And the size chart doesn't seem to give any indication what these sizes are in reference to. I'm used to ordering corsets where it's done by natural waist size. Can someone please help?

I am looking into getting the Oriana corset specifically, but this would be good to know for other corsets too.

The sizes most likely refer to the hip size, since the bust says "one size fits most".

These numbers in corsets refer to the band size in your bra. For example, if you wear a size 36C bra you should get a corset in size 36.
It has nothing to do with hip size.

So it's based on bra band size?

Yes. But you should check the reviews if they offer more details on the sizing. Some corsets might run smaller so getting accurate sizing details against your own measurements would be the most ideal situation.
