Corset sizing?

I'm kinda lost as to how the sizing works for this stuff. Is the "size" the bust measurement or the band measurement? I also read that it runs large so it's even more confusing.

link is a handy resource to use but each corset is different some are bigger then others. The general rule like it said is to slightly downgrade in size which should push everything up. My other bit of advice is to get a corset elsewhere. Frankly they're better made

I've bought corsets here one size down and they barely fit. I've bought some elsewhere that were my bust size and they were huge! There are so many discrepancies with sizing between manufacturers that you may want to consider buying two different sizes of the same one (if available) and returning the one that doesn't fit. I've tried Frederick's of Hollywood ones in the store and didn't like any of theirs..besides, they had very little in 38 and tons of 32 and 34 in stock.

With pre-made steel-boned corsets, you measure your waist and go down a couple inches. The corset you linked has plastic boning, so it isn't going to be able to affect your shape at all, so I'm not really sure what you'd do there. Personally, I'm a bit of a corset snob, and wouldn't dream of getting one without steel boning, just because if I'm wearing a corset, I want it to shape my body like corsets are supposed to!

Good luck though...sorry for my useless rant

each one is totally different, and each company makes them different sizes, buy one in the size you think then go biger or smaller a size and return the one that does not fit until you know what size you need from what company
