I'm interested in what the general population of men think about underwear they choose when exercising or playing sports. Will you rock compression shorts or do you go old school and break out the strap?
Compression shorts VS Old School Jock Strap

I find compression shorts to be much more comfortable than the jock strap. It's been a long while since I last had to wear a strap so I can't comment on today's straps, but, I do remember not liking wearing one when I did have to wear one.

I go for today's style of jock/briefs from overseas or tight bikini briefs for fast moving sports. For biking compression bike shorts with padding.
My favorites are Demarkt® and WANGJIANG.

Mr. Bignuf here. Since our "sport" is Karate, there is no question about it. Old school Jock Strap with a high tech, gel cup is the only way to go. Mrs. Bignuf (who is also a high black belt) has threatened to do me in if I ever break her "favorite toy", so I do all I can to protect it!

Oriental Husband and Wife, I was looking for the two brands you mentioned and I was wondering if either brand offered any of their styles in non low rise cuts. Also, do either brand have U.S. based web sites? I was able to find the two brands only on (I'm not sure I can mention the website) a website who's logo looks like a face with a smile and wants everyone to use their upgraded service for $99 a year.

A good choice, depending on what activity you are doing. For martial arts this is protective and comfortable.

Oh heavens. I can think of lot's of sports where you better be wearing some serious "armor" down there, lest you take a really bad hit.

Of course, that's for the guys. I wear breast protectors when doing my martial arts workouts.

Yes, many don't know how much it can hurt when gals get hit in the chest. Once when playing basketball with my gf, she got hit by the ball there. She held them and told me it hurt so much. I did offer to caress them for her.
