I try to get as many rechargeable toys as possible, but when I can't I try to avoid watch batteries and C-batteries. What's your favorite power source? Would you pay extra if the toy companies made a more expensive (but rechargeable) version of all of their toys?

Just curious. I know I will always spend a bit extra for rechargeable ones if I can!

I rather toys that run off of regular ol' cheap batteries.

Never running out of batteries is great, and I also like not having to throw out a whole slew of batteries all the time.
Plus, I find rechargeable toys to be some of my favourites.

Most battery operated toys rarely get me off. I much prefer electricity! I need serious power.
I do wish Hitachi would make a battery powered equivalent for the Magic Wand.

I like them all! But the electrical Hitachi always does me right! Don't care for watch batteries tho' Do not have a rechargable one yet, looks like most enjoy that.

Power Cord. Less battery waste.. and more power
04/11/2011
I'm all for rechargeable, because it often means completely waterproof. However, I live outside the US and have different type of wall sockets, so finding the right power converter is a bit difficult for me.

From what I've noticed over the last ten years of using vibrators on past girlfriends and my wife is that a toy that needs AAA batteries isn't normally worth bringing home. If you need a cheaper vibe go with something that needs AA batteries. If you have the money go with rechargeable. And if you need a lot of stimulation go with a plug in like the hitachi magic wand.

More things should be rechargeable. It would be better than wasting batteries.

I like rechargeable toys or toys that I can use my rechargeable batteries in. I hate spending money on batteries all the time.
04/12/2011
As long as I had a couple that were just rechargeable, I'd definitely prefer corded models for their power and ability to keep going and going...
04/12/2011
I only have battery powered ones but i'd live a rechargeable one

Rechargeable toys are the best!
My second choice is rechargeable AA or AAA - saves me money and land fill!

Rechargeable is #1 for me followed by AA batteries. I have the Hitachi (power cord) which certainly delivers.....
04/13/2011
Rechargeable toys are definitely my first choice, and yes, I'd pay a little more for a rechargeable toy!

I like plug in toys. AA (2 or 4 of them) toys usually work pretty well. C batteries are actually pretty powerful. I only have one toy which requires C Batteries, but damn, it's strong.

Most rechargeable toys aren't strong enough for me. And those batteries in the rechargeable toys have a lifespan. (Like the one in your phone. Eventually its going to die on you.)
I hate watch batteries. They are a waste.

The cord on the Wahl and the Hitachi does not really bother me. (But, I live in fear of a power outage. "How am I going to come?!") We use an extension cord so we can move.

My Man actually specializes in power supplies as an Electrical Engineer, and he says it would be virtually impossible to make a rechargeable toy as strong as the Hitachi or the Wahl in a rechargeable version. Witness all the reviews on the Wahl rechargeable, it's a good toy, but everyone who has the regular one says the power on the rechargeable isn't nearly as strong.
My Man could explain why. But, all of us would fall asleep. (Except maybe Tim, Kindred and maybe Vac and Eden C's woman.)

We have frequent power outages where we live. I dread an outage while we are having sex!!! My husband and I have been in talks about purchasing a generator recently. Again, I am all for a house generator, as long as it will run my Hitachi. (I am looking into your Wahl, too.)
I depend on extension cords and I really don't require a battery operated one, but I do think it would be fantastic to be able take it camping.
04/13/2011
Rechargeable for sure! AA, AAA, and toys with power cords are fine, but nothing beats rechargeable!
04/13/2011
If they ever make a waterproof, rechargeable Hitachi, I might never leave the tub.
04/13/2011
Rechargeable is for sure my favourite.
04/13/2011
I agree with Sthr,

Well, I feel like I'm not really qualified to answer this poll, since I've only ever owned battery operated toys, but I have to say that of the ones I've owned, the ones that ran off of C batteries were always a disappointment.

AAs is it's battery powered or rechargeable. Cs are just too big and bulky.
04/15/2011
Rechargeable all the way. It's just the easiest.
04/18/2011
I love rechargeable.

rechargeable or woman powered!
