It's a nice color, and it does produce the image of nature for me at least - so, sure!
Do you think that the color "green" is a good symbol color for "environmentally friendly"?

green is a generally accepted color, but I feel that life and the world come in many colors, so a symbol or logo might be better than a color.

Sorry for such a long question. I had a curious moment, and I'm hoping that you won't be too confused by what I'm asking. You may also discuss your answers, not just vote, so that what you really mean will come across as detailed as you mean for it to be. I hope this isn't too vague! I meant this question to be very detailed, and yet I hope it isn't too detailed! Thanks in advance for your answers and votes. less

yes, it would be more accessible and understandable as a product label. after all, it is kind of the universal symbol for environmentally friendly

I love green as the color for environmentally friendly products. The world needs more green. More plant-life would clean more of the carbon dioxide out of the air and generate clean oxygen. This happens because of photosynthesis which is dependent upon chlorophyll which produces a green color. Therefore I believe that it sorta makes perfect sense that green is the color for the environmentally friendly products.

I like green as the basic and main color... but adding in blue would make sense considering more of our Earth is covered in water lol...
06/23/2011
Green fav color and all the way around and some more
07/23/2011
I like green as the symbol color and it would be a good idea to use a symbol representation for green packaging and product materials.
07/26/2011
Yeah, I think everyone knows what 'green' means. They could also do a little picture of the earth as a sticker, and say 'earth-friendly' or something. But I think 'green' is a good buzzword.
10/02/2011
For the most part I think the entire "green idea" is idiotic. So using one color or another is completely irrelevant.
10/22/2011
The Planet does NOT NEED our help, it will take care of itself.
If the Greens REALLY wanted to reduce human impact upon the planet they would WANT WORLD WAR to eliminate or substantially reduce the human population.

green is a good color, but it is SO very cliche. and blue would make more sense... because the Earth has more WATER than land, right?
but green is my favorite color, so I don't mind either way
but really, edenfantasys isn't just ANY site that can use just any cliche color, it's freaking edenfantasys. breaking boundaries here. This site has the most open-minded people on it.
Maybe I'm reading into it a bit much, but green is just so cliche for an environmentally friendly packaging campaign, especially from edenfantasys. Why should edenfantasys be just like every other company, when it clearly is not?

Green is the universal color for ecofriendliness
11/03/2011
I tink it's fine, particular because it's already established.
however, the whole "green" trend has really begun to piss me off. I don't think there's any way for Eden to properly convey what toys were truly environmentally "friendly." And there's very little change they'd be able to set up standards strict enough to make a real difference, in part because there'd be no way to truly verify what toys met such standards.
Idk though. I might just be particularly bitter about the subject right now. I was at the grocery store recently and noticed that one of the brands of laundry detergent that made their claim by being all natural and "green" and whatever, and one of their newer types of detergent was packaged in compostable cardboard. Cool, you might say, it says compostable and recyclable right on the package. It *looks* so eco! But wait. No. It's cardboard wrapped around the same plastic bottle that's on every other bottle. Which means in the end, it's just additional waste for marketing purposes.
What. Bullshit.
Anyways. /rant.
