Obviously everyone is different, but my partner and I are looking for a good multipurpose lube that we can use.
She can't have things that contain latex or that contain chemicals that aggravate hemorhoids.
I'm looking for something that doesn't make my mouth burn -- a problem I've had with several lubes, even edible ones.
Prefereably water based? Although we have been talking about silicone lube too. It needs to be safe for latex condoms and rubber toys.
What's the best lube for a couple with multiple chemical sensitivities?

Is water-based lube better for chemical sensitivities, or others (oil, silicone, etc.)?

Does "organic" mean "safe"?

We do lots of different things in bed and need something that's safe for us, our condoms, and our toys.

Between the 2 of us we have had LOTS of problems with lubes (except for silicone lubes.. no problems with those), and Alan has a latex allergy too. We use Sliquid Sea most of the time now. By the way, we tried the Sliquid Organics gel you listed and didn't have any problems with it either, but it isn't a very long-lasting lube.

Is organic stuff safer, or is it just a selling point?

Organic means the ingredients were grown without chemicals, pesticides, hormones, other synthetic additives and things and that the ingredients aren't synthetic. I feel like leaving chemicals out of my products makes them healthier. Even if a synthetic alternative might not have any noticeable immediate issue, it may cause a problem over the long run, especially with extended use.
I use Yes lube. No problems with vaginal use and no problems when using in conjunction with oral sex.

If you mean "safe" as in it definitely won't cause any reactions, then no. You can have a reaction to almost anything. If you mean safe as in it isn't loaded with toxins, then yes, for the most part. Just be sure to check out the ingredients and make sure you know what you're getting. We've found a couple of "organic" lubes that had one or two safe organic ingredients combined with questionable preservatives. One good organic brand that we've used is Blossom Organics, though it isn't slick enough for us for anal sex.
