Does she have one of those outdoor sets with the slide on it or a little outside house? My son is going to be three and I'm thinking of getting one of those for him. The three to five age group seems to just love those little outdoor sets!

A tonka truck, every little girl needs a tonka truck, the metal ones with the working dump truck portion. I remember it being my favorite toy as a kid and they still make them.

All I can come up with is My Little Pony... Stainedclear has a good idea with an outside play set. She'd get a lot of use out of that. I'm not sure how much those are, though.

The first step for me would be asking her parents for advice about her play style. Even at that age, kids have started differentiating in what they like.

How about a tricycle?

On my wishlist is a Squishable. They're ginormous round stuffed animals that I would have just exploded with joy if I had seen them as a kid!

Yes she already has one of those. Plus we live in Ohio, so outside toys are not really that great.

She likes barbie and all dolls. I was thinking maybe barbie dream house and some of those Monster high dolls and a leap frog or vtech computer. What you'll think?

A Barbie dream house is every little girl's dream! You sound like an awesome aunt.

I think the monster high dolls are better than Barbie, they actually have interesting backstories and aren't "perfect" the way barbie is.

I like the Monster High dolls. My son loves his Tag jr. I would go Leap Frog over Vtech. Books just seem like the better way to go.

Ask her what she wants more than anything else. She'll let you know, and probably be amazed when she actually gets it.

The Leapster 2 and a few games would be a great bet.
