The purpose of wood toys?

The purpose of wooden toys baffles me. I do not understand why I should choose wood over glass, metal, or even plastic. Is there something I am not seeing here?

My wife and I only have 1 wood toy right now, but she does really enjoy it. Its different from the other materials because wood is very lightweight, where stainless steel and glass can be heavy. Wood is different from glass and steel in the way that it doesn't come out of storage freezing cold. It can also be carved into many different shapes. I wouldn't necessarily say that wood is something groundbreaking and totally amazing compared to the other materials, but that it is just different.

Well the purpose of sex toys is to bring pleasure to yourself or your partner. Some people enjoy using toys made of natural materials. I would also echo leatherlover's point about it being very lightweight. I think it is just about variety and options. Wooden toys look beautiful, classy and sexy to me. You should get the toys that appeal the most to you.

it is a marketing ploy to make you think you are buying a "green" toy. In reality, they are no different then glass, metal, stone, or plastic. Just pick a toy that looks like it would provide you the most pleasure.

Probably because it's a natural product rather than a man made one

There are some nice wood designs and it is a supposedly Green product but they have just never appealed.

Yep, I agree with married with children. I didn't buy my wooden dildo because I wanted a green product, I bought it because it has an intriguing design, and I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

The designs on some of them are unlike what you'll find in other materials. Also it's much lighter in weight than other firm materials. I have bad wrists so that's a big selling point for me. My wood toys are some of my all time favorites.

Wood toys are gorgeous, lightweight (I pack a wooden dildo when I'm traveling by plane with only a carry-on. Not much a difference by itself, but it adds up when you pack lighter versions of everything), discreet (I think a lot of people unfamiliar with sex toys don't know that there are wooden ones), and they never get too cold (for the people who don't want cold dildos).
