Silicone?

It depends on what you are looking for - realistic or not - hard or soft. For hard dildos we like steel and glass. For soft realistic dildos we like Vixskin models - they have a size for every need link.

glass or silicone are the best!

I suggest, when you look at the toys, look at the safety rating for the material. there's a little graphic which shows how safe each toy's material is (with 10 being safest). If the graphic isn't displaying you can click the name of the material and it will show you more information about it.
Glass, steel, and silicone are some of the safest materials. I prefer silicone because it is both safe and soft. Some people prefer hard though! Of the ones you've listed, I would choose glass because it is so safe.
With jelly, people recommend using a condom over it for safety reasons.

I say glass and silicone are the best, but that is just my personal preference and what I have only used so far. I have plastic vibes but don't think I'd like a plastic dildo.
After reading the horror stories on jelly, I threw my only jelly toy out and I'm not getting another. I made my fiance toss out his jelly masturbator too and we got a fleshlight.

Silicone is my favorite.

I really like the jelly, I use silicone a lot

I can not use jelly! The phthalates give me a burning sensation. Wondering where the silicone option is.

I hate plastic unless there's a thick smooth coating over it. I really don't love jelly, but I prefer the feeling of jelly or TPR so I try to go with TPR. I like silicone, but find that many of the silicone insertables are not for small girls. Glass is fabulous, but not always what satisfies me. I always like to have something with some squish to it for those particular moods. If you're new to toys, don't buy glass!

Silicone, stainless steel and glass are all good - just stay away from jelly !!!

I'm really liking the glass ones right now

Glass is the best dildo. Easy to clean and fun to use. What more could a girl ask for?

One look in our toy chest would quickly reveal that we love silicone toys, but we also have a fair amount of glass and stainless. NO jelly though. We prefer body safe materials.

That's like asking "What food is the best?"
There are many good dildos in safe materials, (jelly not being safe) but glass and silicone have very different properties. I like both glass and silicone (I have yet to buy a stainless steel dildo) and have at least a couple of dozen silicone toys. It depends on what I'm in the mood for. I prefer silicone when I'm with My Man because he gets a little "enthusiastic" when playing with me, and glass can hurt a cervix if thrusted too heavily. With most silicone, the material is soft enough so that doesn't happen. I usually use glass when I'm alone.

My absolute favorite material for dildos is silicone.

Of the three you listed, glass. I'd encourage you to put silicone in the mix. It's soft, safe, and lasts forever.
04/19/2012
I'll agree with those suggesting silicone.
04/21/2012
I like glass but my favorite is a hard silicone.

Glass is good.
04/21/2012
Definitely glass

Of your list... glass for hygiene reasons... but I hate hard toys, so I wouldn't buy glass.
Dual density or softer silicone is my pick.

Glass is the best of the three options you listed... Never use jelly toys, they are vile and toxic. If you want something with the lifelike squishiness of jelly, but that's MUCH safer and more sterilizable, look into a soft silicone dildo, like those made by Tantus and Vixen Creations.

glass from these options
