What do you do with your older/obsolete/bottom of the drawer toys?

Lol, I worry about that too, I also sometimes worry about what he thinks about all the sex toy boxes I recycle...I shouldn't care but I do!

I usually actually just throw my toys out. Since most of mine are inexpensive or I use them until they don't work anymore anyway, I really lose no value this way. =) In fact, I think I have some now that I need to get rid of..

I would make sure the toy was clean and able to be passed on safely. I have never sold a toy mainly because it doesn't seem fair. Most of the toys I receive are sent to me free of charge so charging someone for them is sort of awful as far as I'm concerned. I have given a toy away but she tried it out and really liked it, so I caved in and gave it to her.

Generally I try to find loving homes for the toys that I have duplicates of!

Hmmm, that is a pretty interesting link.

I like the idea of recycling them since I like to recycle, but at the same time it makes me a little un easy wondering if mine have been used like that before.. not sure lol.

I guess they do say they have heavy sterilization and break down/etc of materials... but I probably wouldn't but a recycled toy from them...

Lol I love your posts around this forum Airen, they are always so knowledgeable and usually make me smile!

That being said, I have to agree with your thoughts on selling the toys. If it wasn't for the free toys and incentives Eden has, I would only have a handful of things. I couldn't sell them to someone, even though I already "earned" them via review, because I would feel like I was jipping them somehow.

I gave one toy away to a friend that I super disliked (edit: I didn't like the toy, I liked the friend- that sounded bad lol). She was aware of all the precautions etc, I had only used it once but what the hell. She knows I'm clean/etc

I am very curious about this toyswap website as well. I put toyswap.com in the URL but I got a different site (I will be checking that out as well, though, I feel like I can find some awesome toys for my little man!)

Ours end up collecting dust. Maybe the good ones get pulled out, cleaned off, and used again. I do like the funky art idea!

My toy collection is too new for me to vote. I joined the toy swap network for toys I know I won't use. Someone else could be using them.

I feel the same way about selling a toy that was given to you for free. I think that's wrong. I'd take shipping charges, but I wouldn't try to make a profit out of it.

I keep them, because maybe later on I'll pull them out and it's like getting new toy all over again! I will throw them away if they are broken, or they have an odor to them.

Unused toys should be thrown away, or kept in a bottom drawer. They should not be shared with strangers in any way. You have a responsibility as a knowledgeable individual not to sell or give away something that could potentially harm someone or make them sick. That being said... I keep all my old unused toys in the bottom of our toy bag for sentimental reasons

Either they become dust collectors or they get thrown away. We would never sell them or give them away as that is weird!

I'd prefer to sell the ones that can be sanitized.

There doesn't seem to be much you *can* do with used toys. I don't know anyone who'd want them.

They eventually find their way to the dump. If I don't want them I would certainly feel bad pawning them off on anyone else. However, I am considering handing off my LELO Mona to my mother. We will see. I am still thinking about it.

I can't right now, but I will probably throw them out. I have a few things that don't work anymore that just collect dust. We have to burn our garbage, since we do not live in a city, and I don't feel it would be safe at all for my dad to burn a vibrator or something.

My friends like to hide sex toys on one another's person, so that seems to be the accepted method of passing them on in my circle. It all started 10 years ago, when somebody opened up their lunch to find a giant dildo where his sandwich should have been.

I have thrown out only ONE toy in my lifetime (a cheap one that I got from Spencer's when I was 15ish). I keep all of the others, even the ones that I rarely use, in my toyboxes.

I keep them for as long as I can but if i really rather not use it again then I would sell it used. Men are willing to pay for this so why not.

I have an old toy/parts box I keep them in and when I need spare parts or get an idea of something that might work out and be fun I use the oldies and parts. For example: I wanted and ejaculating dildo and did not want to wait for shipment. I used the squeeze bulb off an old penis pump, some clear tubing off same toy. Drilled a hole through an old realistic (used to vibrate until the bullet got a severe short in it) dildo, inserted the tubing bottom to top and hooked it up to the bulb. Voila! Worked perfectly.

I just did a little spring cleaning the other day.
Old toys and lubes that were bought before I was enlightened about safer materials were thrown out.
Condoms, unused toys, and DVDs I received in trial packs or as free gifts that I didn't like were given to friends.
I imagine that if any of my current safe material toys were ever to stop tickling my fancy I don't think I would have a problem giving them to a close friend if they wanted them. Share the love! Lol.
