I'm not sure if this has ever been brought up before, but I don't see a way to search topics to find out. What do you do with toys that you get that you just don't like? When I have things I don't use anymore, clothes I don't like, whatever, I usually find a new home for them. Ebay it, give it away, something like that... but you just CAN'T do that with sex toys. I don't like throwing things away, and seriously, the thought of tossing a $65 dildo just... I can't bring myself to do it. What are some of your solutions?
Toys you end up not liking...

Just so you know, if you're in the forums when you use the search box up there, it'll automatically search the forums instead.
Well, it depends on the material of the sex toy. If it's something like pure silicone, glass, or metal, then it can be sterilized through boiling or bleaching (obviously don't boil anything with a motor). When I have a silicone toy I don't like, I boil it and give it to my close friend to see if she likes it. If you don't have anyone who's interested, you can sell the toys through Eden Classifieds.
A word of caution - boiling or bleaching will kill off bacteria, but if I recall correctly some viruses will survive, if you happen to have any. You don't need to say if you do, just be mindful before giving away or selling.
Other materials, I just toss, honestly. I hear there's places that recycle toys for you, but I wouldn't know where to go for that.

Thanks for the numerous heads ups in your reply. I never saw the Classifieds section of the site, what a splendid thing. Namely, it's the O2 Cush that I'm just not diggin'... With all it's wonderful reviews, I think I was more disappointed in the fact that I didn't like it much, than I am in that fact alone. So, it looks like the classifieds may be my solution. Thanks again!

I had also accumulated some silicone toys and a glass toy that I wasn't crazy about and didn't know what to do with, until the Classifieds were pointed out to me. So far I've been successful in selling one silicone toy, and have some listings still up. Its really easy to use, and I'm glad Eden has this feature; I just couldn't see trying to sell them on eBay, where I have a hard enough time selling my regular unwanted stuff. Good luck!

Viruses are generally easier to destroy than spores. If I were getting a toy from an unknown source I'd autoclave or pressure-cook at 15+ Lbs/in2.

There is one toy I have that I'm considering selling in the Classifieds. It's silicone, so it is sterilizable. I thought it would gross me out that my vibrator would be in someone else, but I'd rather someone else enjoy it than just toss it in the trash.

I just can't imagine doing anything but keeping it. Selling just seems kind of strange to me, but to each his or her own!

So far, I've tossed them - but those were not materials that could be sanitized in any way.
I have a glass one that I'm still deciding what to do with. I'm considering the classifieds, since it's still a good toy and can be sanitized.

For all the toys I have ended up disliking I either save them for a laugh or just to have fun with, or use them for different kinds of play. Mostly I use them just to giggle at later.

We bought a penis extension that was terrible and I am pretty sure made of styrofoam and we trashed it.

You know, that was the one "fun" use I considered when Aazazel brought it up!
