Temperature Play

Is it possible to heat up or ice down ANY glass toy? Or does it depend on the type of material, like the lucid heart has that is made for this sort of temperature play?

My experience with glass is limited, so I could be wrong, but I would imagine that any glass toy on here for the most part would be able to do both, provided that you weren't microwaving or going from one extreme temperature to another right away.

Temperature play is a relative term - you shouldn't be looking at anything too hot or cold. Anything that is bearable for your intimate parts would not be a problem for the glass toys that I have - and I do own a Lucid Heart.

Another thing to avoid is large temperature swings - don't take hot glass an put cold water on it - or vice-versa.

Moderation is a good thing!

Very true, and I will add to be careful with how hot, test on the inside of your arm or mouth for that matter, your hand can take more heat than your inner tissue.

I use the Amber Wave for my temperature play. I tend to put it in the freezer for a minute or two, that way it isn't too cold, but is still delightful. I don't think I'd ever want my glass to be hot. =/

Just don't go to extremes, in any case.

All the glass toys should be made of pyrex and are safe for temperature play. Metal toys (aluminum, stainless steel) are also good.

As long as you don't go to the extreme; freeze or boil. Always inspect glass toys for cracks or chips, (clean before and after), each time.

Any glass should be able to handle temperature, but I'm suggesting you not freeze or boil any because it may damage the toy (not to mention your bits!).

If you want to try playing with temperature, I suggest putting the toy in cold or warm-hot water. This brings the temperature up slowly and will hold it pretty well.

Glass is my material of choice - it's smooth and can either be heated/cooled. I feel it really is ALL about preference. Also, it can be a feeling thing (might be too hard) for certain people.

tempurature with glass is completely viable, just don't interchange them too quickly cause quick changes in tempurature may make the glass crack or get imperfected

Most dildos can be used for temperature play. Glass and steel ones hold temperatures for longer, though.
