I would say I'm intermediate at anal stimulation. Lately I've been using the Tantus Acute (1.25 inches diameter), which I really love. Now I want to try a larger size (1.5 inches in diameter), and I've been looking at the Hank dong since it looks very realistic. Would the Hank be a good choice for a larger dildo?

I've never personally used Hank, but silicone is always a good choice for an anal toy. You can boil it, bleach it or toss it in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I like Tantus silicone because it has a good amount of give, which for me, would be a plus when starting out with a new, larger diameter toy for anal play.
It looks like Hank also has a good wide base so really, I can't think of any reason not to recommend this to you if that's the size you're ready for. Go for it!

I don't know why, but I started thinking about how funny it would be if this dildo was called the Tantus Bocephus. That is really cracking me up at the moment

Dishwasher, really? Can you imagine? My dong is in the dishwasher next to juice glasses but keep it away from the knives. That just sounded so funny, "just toss it in the top rack of your dishwasher".

It is pretty funny, but you'd be surprised how many of us use the dishwasher to clean silicone, glass, metal and other waterproof materials that won't melt in high heat. Some of us have butt loads of toys to clean (no pun intended, well ok maybe intended a little). Top rack only, of course.

I use the dishwasher a lot. I can fill the top rack a time or two

Hank is noticeably stiffer than the silicone used in the Curve/Luxury (which I believe is similar to that used in the Acute). It also doesn't have as much of a curve. That said, the stiffness + presence of balls allow you to easily direct the dildo anywhere you want.

Just keep in mind that most dishwashers don't sterilize. Really keep in mind if you have people over for dinner and share the dishwasher loads between toys and dishes.

I know they don't, but sometimes I use it for a "mass cleaning", if you will. I only do it when I have a day off and no one else is home so I can unload them right away

Though any activity with the word "anal" currently frightens me, I thought I'd jump in. I just ordered a Hank and compatible Vegan harness today, and I'm so excited for it to get here! It seems like one of the better realistic dildo's I've seen, and for anal penetration I'm sure it would be more than accommodating. And hey, it's made of Silicone which is a huge plus! I've grown pretty discerning about what I will and will not allow on or in my body, and Silicone is top notch.
On another note, the dishwasher safe disclaimer gave me a little giggle.
