Several months ago my home was broken into, in addition to most of my jewelry they took my glass dildo! It was an artistic piece and I wonder if they even knew what it was.

I have never had this happen, but it is pretty funny to think of them taking it to the pawn shop thinking it's some priceless treasure. Although I recognize it's probably not funny to you.

My thinking is this- for everything that exists there is someone out there who would steal it. It is more likely to happen in a setting where people use their toys in public (always be mindful of your bag at a play party) or between people in relationships (as in "my ex stole OUR dildo" and such)

I can only wonder if they knew what it was. If not it would be funny if they tried to pawn it and found out. I have never had anyone steal one (had someone steal panties of mine before) sad that it happened though.

That's never happened to me. How very, very strange! I mean, of all things to steal. Granted, some glass dildos can be worth a lot of money, but not as much as electronics or jewelry, for example. I'm really sorry that happened to you! Must have been a really terrible feeling.
