Hello! I am looking for advice. I'm introducing my wife to anal, but she is a little uncomfortable and concerned about pain. Will Small silk be ok to start practicing anal, or should I go with smth smaller/bigger?

Small (<1.5 diameter) realistic dildos?
My partner and I are looking for a realistic dildo, however neither of us are comfortable with normal sized ones. I can't find anything under 1.5...

Hi Kval! I think Silk is a wonderful toy for an anal novice. I've used this toy on a couple of anal beginners...it's very good because it's small and very smooth. You should not look for something bigger, she can only move up to a larger toy once she learns to relax the muscles with a smaller one. Good luck!

You can always go smaller, with beads, etc. DON'T go bigger, especially if she's apprehensive about it! Start with a finger or two before you buy a toy. If she's not ok with that, then it is silly to waste your money.
And PLEASE remember, Lube is your friend. Use lots of it. When you think you have enough, use some more! Thicker stuff, like Maximus, is really good in these situations.

The Tantus Ripple is a GREAT beginner toy. Flared base, gradiuated bead like structure...highly recommend

I recall Seymore Butts saying once in regards to (what else) anal, "too much lube is almost enough!"

I think you have made a nice choice for a beginner. Here is a little side note, if she is nervous or uncomfortable now, try encouraging her to masturbate on her own. Once she gets the hang of it she may be more apt to trying more things with you and working her way up the size scale.

I think this is a good choice as well. It's small and unintimidating. And as everyone else said, lots & lots of lube!

That's a good sized toy for beginners. I also suggest the Slimline Anal Rocket. That toy vibrates which makes the anal sphincter relax easier. Plus, it's roughly the same size as the small silk.

This is perfect for starting out in anal. It is small enough that it will cause no pain. I wrote a long review of this toy that might be useful. I definitely think it is perfect for a beginner!

It's also smooth, which makes it easier as a starting toy.

I highly recommend Nina Heartleys guide to anal sex for anyone new and interested in anal pleasure. She is a wonderful teacher, and her movies are very couple friendly!
I have this toy and it really is a great one. However if you are VERY new to anal, (as in you haven’t even used fingers yet) this probably will be too big for you. It is really more for those who are comfortable with one to two fingers being inserted. The other problem with it is that while silicone is amazing in terms of material safety, it isn’t very firm so beginners may struggle a little with insertion which is not a good thing! If you are brand new to anal play start with something smaller, like perhaps a little vibrating plug and see how it goes with that before you move on to this guy.
**As always, lots of lube & lots of patience are key to anal pleasure! Anal should NEVER hurt! If it does, you are moving too quickly. I think Nina Heartley said it best with "the anus never lies!" If she is apprehensive or nervous she will never be comfortable enough to let you in and you are guaranteed to hurt her. Anal play is never something that can be rushed or pushed on your partner. Practice with your fingers first so you can feel when she clenches (STOP!) or when she relaxes (Proceed gently!) Make sure she is completely comfortable and aroused before even thinking about going to that area. I (and my partner) love anal stimulation. It can be an amazing thing if it is done right, so don't sabotage yourself by moving too quickly. I might even suggest letting her play with you first... I bet you would really like it!
Anyway, just relax and have fun!

It seems like a great choice. I personally haven't tried the small silk, but I can't imagine why it wouldn't work for you two.
Other things to remember: LUBE! Love it. Use it.
When I first got into anal I absolutely HATED long in and out strokes. They reminded me too much of pooping and made me nervous. As a beginner I was much more comfortable with having penis/toy fully inserted and applying brief firm pressure with out taking it out at all. It gave me that nice full feeling and pushed the back of my vagina up against the g-spot. Your lady's booty may be different from mine, bur it might be worth trying if things aren't going to well at first.
