Just received the Tantus VIP Super Soft, but it's NOT super soft!

Does anyone know if the Super Soft by Tantus is anywhere near the softness of the VixSkin Bandit? (I suspect I received the regular Tantus VIP, not the Super Soft VIP!)

I just received the Tantus VIP Super Soft & have to return it because of damage. However, I think despite the box having the Super Soft label, that I might have gotten a regular VIP. I also received a VixSkin Bandit. Now that one has a very squishy soft outer layer that's way more soft than the Super Soft! I was expecting the Super Soft to be squishy from all the forum posts about it. When I compare it to the Tantus O2 Adam I have, it is softer, but no where near the VixSkin's outer layer.

Like I said, I have to return the VIP Super Soft, but I wonder if I should bother getting a replacement? I am looking for something as soft as the outer layer of the VixSkin Bandit, without the firm core. I did a lot of research on this before getting anything & am shocked at how firm the Super Soft that I have is. Yes, it's softer than the O2, but not at all squishy to me. Here's a thread I read, Softest Material?

Do you know of any dildo that is the softest? I don't care about the material, I can cover it, I just want to try the softest. I don't thrust my toys, so all I have to do is get it in, (and I don't care if it is a challenge, just not impossible). Any help would be very appreciated; thanks in advance!

If you don't care about porousness, the UR3 toys are very soft. The VIP is made by Tantus, which always runs towards firm whereas Vixen's silicone always seems softer. That is probably why you feel it is so firm.

I've got a VIP Super Soft, which I compared to my two Marks - one which is O2, the other Super Soft. The VIP's much firmer than both (not counting the O2's core), but still not nearly as firm as regular Tantus silicone. So I think it's very possible that you did get the SS version. Other clues to look at: the VIP Super Soft has a matte rather than smooth surface, and doesn't come in the same colors as the normal version (except for black). Tantus also tends to nab any "mistake" toys and only sell them cheap on their website (that's how I got an SS Mark), so while a packaging mistake is possible it's not too likely.

Really, the softest material I've found is VixSkin. Of the VixSkin toys I have, the Mustang is the squishiest, though it's a close race. From what I've seen with my own toys and examining toys in shops, O2/SS is overall notably firmer than VixSkin.

Hey, WW! I don't have the VIP Super Soft, but I've felt the O2 material, I have a couple of Tantus' regular silicone toys, and own a couple of VixSkins; if your VIP is softer than the outer layer of O2, then it probably IS the Super Soft. The softest dildo-type toy I know of would be the Mr. Right, which is made completely of the squishy VixSkin. It's made as a packing toy, so I'm not sure how insertable it would be!

If you can handle a slightly larger-diameter tip, I'd suggest Raquel. She's VERY squishy, especially at that large tip.

I have the VIP Super Soft and Vixskin Maverick, and the Vixskin is MUCH softer than the VIP. The VIP is still wicked soft compared to the other silicone toys I have from Tantus, so I do think you received the right thing, it's just not as soft as you were expecting.

Krissy, thanks for letting me know the UR3 is really that soft. It's hard to know & I have become frustrated enough looking for soft to try, that a cheap UR3 would at least be a way to experiment & see if I like it before getting a more expensive silicone. I admit, since the VixSkin came in stock & on sale, I snapped it up fast using my points to help, just in case it didn't come back in for a while.

FieryRed, I originally wanted the Raquel! But she's been out of stock forever, darn it & I got the Bandit on a Thurs sale minutes after it came back in stock! I love the squishiness of the outer layer, but the ridged head hurts a bit, especially with the too wide width; that's what I was afraid of & why I wanted Raquel. Now that you told me Mr Right is made of all the outer layer, I will maybe try it when it comes back, if ever!

PoP, you summed it all up just right, thanks! I wish I has been able to get a clear idea of all this before I bought things. But, now, if anyone else wants the comparison info, this thread will be available for them!

To me, the VIP super soft is kind of the worst of both worlds. Its texture isn't "soft" the way skin is soft, and the lack of internal firmness seems like it would be frustrating for penetration. I didn't even try to use it. I'm going to sell mine on classifieds (when I get around to it).

I like UR3 dildos, but I don't use them for penetration, only for oral "practice". I just don't like having to fuss with condoms. They are remarkably like the real thing. I can highly recommend the Noches Latinas realistic cock. It's AMAZINGLY lifelike.

Just be aware that the Mr. Right is intended as a packing toy, not for penetration. Strictly speaking, there's nothing that says you couldn't use it for that, but it'll be very floppy and without the inner core to bolster it a bit it's somewhat more fragile, so play carefully.

Thanks for the fragility warning, I didn't think of that! Yeah, I know it's difficult for most people to insert anything floppy & I don't don't know if I will be any different. But, I think it's worth a try, especially since I don't thrust, I just leave it in & maybe rock a little. If it ever comes back, I think it's worth a shot as it's not as expensive as the other VixSkin. Thanks for the help!

Oh, the Bandit! That one is big, and does look like it has a sharper head ridge. Maverick, Johnny, or Mustang might work better for you! (I'm so hoping the Tie-Bright Mustang will come back in...)

I wanted to be sure I got my money's worth, ha ha! But, I have to devote a lot of time to warm up to use it, & still, that ridge, even tough squishy to my fingers, is too noticeable to me inside. Yeah, maybe the narrower ones' ridges would have less of an impact. But, I'm going to hold out for Raquel! And maybe Mr Right, just to see if it's squish I need, or something else is going on.

Maybe I just have a bizarre sensory oddity? It's strange, I like glass, so hardness isn't necessarily the problem, maybe I just need all smooth ? I suspect drag is the issue, too. Ah well, at least someone else looking into comparisons between the VIP Super Soft & VixSkin will have this thread to confuse them ;-)

I want everything in that tie-bright!

Um, I own that toy and it's not floppy during self-penetration or with a partner. It actually feels rather nice and can be used to heighten the illusion of going from soft to hard.
