Question about VixSkin

Contributor: Sebmissive Sebmissive
People keep telling me that VixSkin is super-squishy. I've been really interested in trying it out, but sadly I'm one of those women who can't handle toys larger than 4" - 4.5" in circumference. The smallest toy made of VixSkin is 5".

Anyway my question is, does the give of the material take away some of the girth? I mean, does it feel any smaller than your other toys with the same girth? A couple of my toys feel bigger than others with the same circumference, and I was hoping that because of how soft and squishy VixSkin is that I would be able to use one of the toys with the 5" circumference.

Why not VixSkin?
Looking around at various threads, I see that a lot of people specifically don't buy VixSkin toys. Besides them being softer than regular silicone, I.

I *think* it depends on the model. Some definitely seem to have a thicker soft outer layer than others. I don't think any of them are soft enough to make an extra inch of circumference comfortable though.

The Spur (one of my favorite toys, since I'm not a fan of larger toys either) is currently the smallest VixSkin toy, and has a circumference of 3.75". It's still quite squishy, feels about the same as a silicone toy of the same girth.

My understanding is that the squish factor goes up along with the girth, but I haven't tried any other VisSkins, so I can't verify.

I'd say yes, it does make them feel a bit smaller than a harder toy of the same circumference... but it's not a drastic difference. I think what is more noticeable is that lack of hard ridges or stiff curves that, to me, is very noticeable on harder toys.

A couple examples come to mind - Mr. Marcus and TS Jesse Rock Hard Cock are two hard dildos around 6" and 5.75" in girth, respectively. I couldn't use either one due to the hardness of the material, and the head ridges just outright hurt. I couldn't even get past the head on Marcus.

On the other hand, I've used the Vixskin Johnny and the Tantus Mikey Super Soft (it's like the O2 version but without the firm inner core). Johnny is around 5.75" at the head, and the Mikey is around 6" in girth. They still feel like bigger toys, but the give in the material is noticeable in a good way, and despite the prominent head of Vixskin Johnny, it never feels like a hard/sharp ridge like with the Marcus/Jesse.

If you're afraid something like the Vixskin Goodfella is a bit big to start with... Here's my recommendation...

Go to Tantus' website and order a Super Soft Mark from their closeout section for $19. Search the web for a discount code, and you should be able to get it shipped to you for less than $25. The Super Soft toys are just that, very soft/pliable, and the Mark is a little smaller than the Goodfella. If you like that size and have no issues with it, you could buy the Goodfella in the future from Eden.

BTW, I agree with noofbat, the amount of outer layer squishiness is Vixskin does depend a bit on the model.

The Lonestar for example, seems to have a thicker inner core, so the other layer seems to be a bit thinner, and therefore less squishy than Johnny...at least for the toys I own.

I'd say go for the Spur or as suggested above the super soft o2 mark. Currently the mark is a bit more accessible and prolly the best choice for a starter. If you're interested in something firmer you could possibly go for the vixskin Spur which is still cheaper than the larger toys.

Either are good suggestions to test the waters.

I have a VixSkin Woody, 7" long (about 6" insertable) and 1.5" thick, and it's the firmest cock I'll use, save for wood or glass. It also doesn't seem to have variations in thickness- no firm core and squishy outside, just firm all the way through. I love it for it's durability, but I have gotten feedback from some partners that it is too firm. That's why I love Silky link

OK, I'm going to retract my recommendation for the Super Soft Mark. I received one yesterday, and honestly, it's too soft and floppy for practical use, IMO. I assumed it'd be about the same as the VIP Super Soft, but it's alot squishier/floppier.

VixSkin's outer layer is squishy, but don't count on it to allow you to use a toy that's bigger than you can take. The biggest bumps flatten out a bit, but the toy still is as big as its measurements.

Correction to what I wrote above: I have a Vixen Woody made of regular firm silicone, not VixSkin.

I have since added a dual density toy, VixSkin Johnny, and it certainly has some give and squish to it. It has a large girth (1 and 7/8") and it could be a good stepping stone for those who are close to taking that size, but I disagree with some who say that it "acts like a smaller dildo". There is a bit of compression, but the firm core is very thick and easily felt through the outer layer.

We have most of the Vixskin line which says something. The Spur might be a good place to start. It's one of our favorites due to it's versatility.

With regard to Vixskin sizing. Many people are surprised that they can enjoy a larger dildo than they might have thought. The dual density plushy nature of the silicone is very forgiving with ones anatomy, providing a wonderful full feeling.
